"Well hello there. Now tell me everything you know about lightning, in real life, in the Narutoverse, give me weakness/ strengths, combo potential, and some good lightning users, how about three?"

So, Lighting is created because of the differance of dynamic fields betwin two places, where the surcharge of electrons creates a domino effect on other electrones, to nullify the differance betwin the fields...
In the narutoverce, it is one of the 2 elemental natures that can be combined with weapons in order to aucaument the weapon's power, the other being futon... It is weak agaist wind and strong agaist earth. It can make a great combo with suiton... It's advanced natures known so far are storm release, a beam like KG and possibly (not comfirmed) blaze release, a black flame that doesn't stop before it burns it's target...
Some great Raiton Users, that have shown great skill in using it are A, the forth Raikage, The third Raikage, Kakashi sensei and Sasuke Uchiha... woops, I said four ^^

When an S-rank wind jutsu colides with an S-rank Lighting one, the wind one nullifies the Lighting and continues...
When an S-rank Lighting jutsu colides with an A-rank wind, it beats the wind and continues weakened...
When an S-rank Lighting Jutsu colides with an S-rank Earth one, the lighting destroyes the earth and continues...
When an A-rank Lighting Jutsu colides with an S-rank Earth one, the lighting destroyes the earth and continues weakened...
When an A-rank Lighting jutsu is followed by a Brank or higher water jutsu, the A rank lighting Jutsu becomes S-rank... Same for S-rank raiton and A-rank+ Suiton...

Lightning combines with water well, as it can conduct through the water, making it more deadly. But there is also a point, around B-rang, where the lightning is too strong and too dense, and it will destroy/ be destroyed by the water you're trying to electrify. Get it?
Now, gather chakra to your hand. Hold it there, and get used to it. Then, begin exciting the chakra, focusing on making it wild and destructive, with high frequency. Now, let's see what you have!

This time, you have to control the chakra carefully so it doesn't hurt you. Spread it all over your body, forming a weak set of raiton armor.
*I take the raiton chakra from the still active "Raiton no Jutsu" and slowly make it flow trough my whole body... I feel some burns all over my body, but remain silent, trying to stabilise the effect... Some sparks start apearing all over my body, and I feel my chakra levels falling to about one fifth of my overall chakra... I stop the Jutsu, grab an apple, have a bite, and start again... This time, the blue sparks start making a static sound, and the burn from the random shoks all over my body have ceased... I feel much greater controll over raiton than before... I strike a boulder with a punsh, and see the effects of the jutsu...*
-Wow, this can be very usefull in battle! ^^
*I start by performing the "Raiton no Jutsu" and focus on a greater effect... The small static bolt starts emiting a static sound and glowing with blue-green sparks. As I vizualise a rampaging storm in the middle of the bolt, I focus my determination on a nearby tree, shooting multiple energy bolts on it... The tree cracks after the third bolt strikes...*

*I focus my Raiton chakra in both my hands, and put them one accross the other... Blue sparks are exchangining betwin my hands... I feel a tickling feeling and I hear the same fammiliar static sound... I constantly add more and more raiton chakra betwin my two hands, and I can almost feel gravity affecting the bolts of lighting, because of theyr density... I sudently slightl oppen my hands, makeing them show towards a nearby tree, and I hear a chracking sound. A wave of blue-coloured raiton chakra just hit the tree and it fell down, stoke at the roots... I quickly avoid it, saying:*

*I then step away from my clone, till I attain mid range... Then, I start by performing the "Raiton no Jutsu". I focus more and more raiton chakra in the bolt of lighting I just created, focusing on a great devastating power. Then, I focus on restraining that power in the form of a ball. I vizualise the ball, focus on the feel of touch, and wait... I can feel the spheric shape with my fingers, and I can see a blue ball of energy in my hand. I then throw the ball to my clone (in the same fashion one would throw a baseball), who vanishes as soon as the ball touches him... *
-I like the Raiton jutsus more and more! ^^ Here, have a protein bar senpei, it's great to replenish chakra...
*I eat my protein bar*
