Why did deidara run or was intimidated by kakashi ?

and i think diedara rather a one on one battle. but lets face it if naruto go going past 2 tails diedara would have died

I dont think deidara is pretty smart in battle... Just look at what he did when he fought sasuke, he prefer doing that of mere impulse instead of admitting defeat, which makes him cocky and not as battle smart as many of you think, also impulsive. Deidara is the type of explosive guy who wants to destroy anything that gets in his way and has an obsession of wanting other people to be amuse and appreciate his art

Deidara may be cocky and too impulsive (too bad!), but he is still very smart, especially for his age. He wanted to fight Naruto but Kakashi got in his way with Naruto.

Deidara wasn't intimidated by Kakashi at all until he used kamui on him then he started to shit bricks lol but yeah his mission was to bring back Naruto alive. So in the intrest of the mission he had to either get rid of Kakashi or loose him somehow but in the end he failed at both.

I fail to see how he didn't have much clay left he was on a giant freakin bird made of the stuff to which he ended up taking a bite out of it to make it look like he blew himself up.

But he cant use that clay to make C1 or other techniques, he can just blow himself up with it. Deidara himself said that hes short on clay. ->

Ahhh ok I thought since he could use it to blow himself up then he could of used it for his other techs as well but I was wrong.

1) Deidara had just spent three days expanding his chakra in sealing the ichibi.
2) Deidara's target was Naruto and not Kakashi, hence trying to seperate them.
3) Deidara had one arm left, he lost the other one to Gaara.
4) Deidara was low on clay, his clay was already low before fighting gaara and sasori chasticed him about bringing insufficient clay, after fighting Gaara, how low on clay do you think he was?
5) If deidara was intimidated by Kakashi, do you think he would have deemed his C1 spiders enough to keep him away while he deealt with naruto?
6) Deidara wanted to see how strong the kyubi jinchuuriki was, he seemed a lot more interested in fighting naruto then kakashi because of that, at least that is the type of mini obsession he seemed to have.
7) Kakashi ordered naruto to distract deidara while he prepaired kamui, hence Deidara's loss of his second arm.
8) Deidara ran away at this point, fighting without arms is suicide, although he did nearly kill team guy and maybe team 7 too with his suicide clone. which caused kakashi to pass out because of mangyeko overuse.

Conclusion: Deidara not scared or intimidated by anyone besides maybe Pain.
