Gaara is a mid-long range fighter while Jiraiya is close-mid

However Jiraiya has summons which can help him plenty, and if he could somehow buy enough time for SM, then Gaara would have trouble keeping up with his speed.

This takes place in a valley with a creek running though the middle xd
