jiraya wouldn't even need to go in sage mod. He has loads of jtsus & experience. He's a close combat fighter, Kakashi can't just kumui him who's merely a distance away & risking his life if he misses it!

People overrate kakashis kumui so much! If it was a sure thing that he could hit anyone with it, then kakashi is the best character in naruto, he is undefeatable!!!! All praise the lord !
No, kakashi can miss kumui especially with people that are faster then him (jiraiya) plus it takes a big toll on him immediately and jiraiya could oil blast him while he recovers

. Kakashi is smart and experienced too. Ke can teleport away Susanoos arrows, so also a normal person without special speed. It's not a argument to say, that Jiraiya has experiance and good Jutsus, that's not a counter against an for Jiraiya unknown one hit technique.

its a tough call, kakashi, a well known shinobi thanks to his sharingan but not only that, to be near the same level of intelligence as shikamaru, speed and the speed that can match Guy sensei, kakashi is definitely no push over but will eventually lose as he has a low supply of chakra, so a bit useless to have all these ninjitsus. Of course, Jiraiya been one of the legends, may not b as fast as kakashi, but intelligence not far off, equally powerful and effective ninjitsu, bigger summonings and slightly more experience (based on age as not sure about the number of fights), I think Jiraiya would be the overall winner, but close call
Yes he can teleport susano's arrows, but that was a direct head on approach it's coming straight forward it's not hard to miss, the other times kakashi kumui'd were against deidara, wasn't moving, pain wasn't moving, and a missile chasing fatass chouji (I'm sorry I actually like the akimichi clan) jiraiya was still alive long after the first time that kakashi used kumui, and kakashi looked up to jiraiya as a respected elder so I'm sure jiraiya knew of his MS techniquesHe won't miss
So if jiraiya was expecting it he could avoid it, or send out ninjutsu in front of himself as defense to take up the kumui, since as far as we know kumui can not phase through something to get something behind it, being a visual jutsu
is this sage mode jiraiya? Cous sage mode jiraiya beat kakashi in everything even genjutsu and experience goes to jiraiya he travelled almost all of his life searching for information, the first person to know about the akatsuki and he fight in two ninja war.

Kakashi doesn't have a counter to Jiraiya's summons, which will give Jiraiya more than enough time to reach sage mode.
And once he reaches Sage Mode? Doesn't look very good for Kakashi.
Kakashi puts up a bit of a fight, but Jiraiya takes it with medium difficulty.
Jiraiya is almost to the point where he's being extremely underrated on this forum. He wasn't far off at all from Sage Mode Naruto's level. He could have took on Pain with the same knowledge Naruto had and done pretty much just as well.

. He's getting from time to time better in dealing with his Kamui. And it does not matter wheter Susanoos arrows flew straight to Kakashi, it's arrows are to fast to dodge from it but not fast enough for his Kamui. Jiraiya is just not fast enough to dodge Kamui. That he has knowledge about Kakashis new ability is just theory. How Jiraiya will dodge Kamui? It takes only a second untill Kakashi open a dimensional hole onto Jiraiya, also to absorb him. Kamui is just to fast, like Amaterasu. Funny how you don't focus on any of Jiraiya's abilities, focusing soley on Kakashi's kamui as if it's certain to land also, whilst not taking into account Kakashi's relatively poor chakra reserves...............................Kakashi usdes against Deidara his first Kamui of the manga

My argument still stands that even if Jiraiya can't avoid it he can use ninjutsu to take his place for the kumui, he can also use multiple summons to help him fight and as far as we know kakashi can not kumui multiple targets at once...Kakashi usdes against Deidara his first Kamui of the manga

As for me saying that Jiraiya knew of kakshis kumui, and you answering that it's only theory? Well this whole scenario is theory so that argument is null and void, point is if they ever had a confrontation I'm sure Jiraiya would either have seen / heard of his ability
Edit: and this is only IF Jiraiya can not find any possible way to avoid kumui

I'm not agree when you said Kakashi's relatively poor chakra.
The type that we see now really has nothing to do with Kakashi who fought pein, or trembling when he used his Kamui once ...
We can say that Kakashi has changed dramatically since that time ... for me, Kishi was standing there. Kakashi was supposed to have a single weakness and full of qualities. His only weakness was his low chakra.
Well here we are witnessing a Kakashi fighting since 2 days on high level, and then deliberately chooses to meet 6 unbridled bijuus, and was ready to use kamui despite these 2 days of fighting.
I can't believe that there are still people who thinks that his chakra is low.
