Asuma was able to slice kisame's face a kenjutsu and expert at close combat while sakura has no impressive taijutsu feat. And what will sakura do to counter asuma ash tech? And if not for chiyo who hold back hiruko's tail sakura would be dead the moment she charged toward sasori. Asuma become a jounin when he was 12 neji become a jounin at 16 so don't even compare.

unfortunately you're comparing sakura vs sasori to asuma cutting someone's face and being a kenjutsu master. you honestly believe asuma would've lasted against sasori as well? especially against sasori's 3rth hokage puppet, when sakura was, in fact, acting on her own against the iron sand. i don't think so. he would have died the same way, except sakura had help because it was there. in asuma's youth, can you name any other shinobi that qualified to be jonin as well? right. and if i didn't have an argument, i wouldn't be posting. sakura has just as much speed or more when utilizing her chakra. and she also has the power to back it up

but what have we seen from asuma? the fight where he got killed...hmm just because sakura has always been shown in a situation where she's not alone doesn't mean she can't act alone either. she was paired with chiyo who is very knowledgeable. it would be stupid of her not to utilize that.



but who else have you seen do that? certainly not asuma...

asuma's speed overlaps sakura's by leaps and bounds...and not only that but every other stat u can think of other than medical jutsu is out of sakura's league... and its not wat we've seen asuma do but wat his fighting resume is... he is a top notch taijutsu fighter with a wind affinity that only makes his weapons of choice that much more dangerous and harder to predict his movements... sorry guy but sakura couldnt win this fight if she had all the intel she could read on asuma, she just doesnt possess the skill to do so... not taking away from sakura at all, she's a great support ninja, but a one on one fighter she is not, u boast of her speed but she is constantly rediculed by oppenents for having none... she has huge strength, but its more of a hope it connects more than a skilled move that connects all the time... i have never seen her body flicker so even her speed boost isnt all that impressive, asuma can at least body flicker, and to top it all off... sakura is a close range offense which isnt good for fighting asuma who is a better close range fighter
