is hashirama imune to genjutsu?

i have been thinking about this for a long time, when hashirama went against madara, why didn't madara use tsukuyomi or another genjutsu to win the battle? from what we know of hashirama, he doesn't have anything special to protect against genjutsu so, why didn't he use that?

Most likely back then the battle of the end was a forest area. That would be to Hashirama's advantage since he could use the trees to keep from making eye contact. Or maybe Madara was only interested in taking Hashirama's his DNA and didn't see a need to kill him.

No one is immune to genjutsu. that is impossible

Madara probably did try to use genjutsu on him but you know there are ways to protect yourself against genjutsu and hashirama was a very strong and wise guy so he probably knew everything about the sharingan and he probably knew how to protect himself from genjutsu.

yeah i know but i made this thread for guesses because i know that no one actually knows for sure. i just wanted to see peoples opinions.

The senju and uchiha have been opponents for years. Just like Guy 'Sensei!' developed a way to fight a sharingan user without getting caught into genjutsu, the Senju must have developed a the same way or an other way to fight a sharingan user.
So Hashirama 'sama' knew how to fight an uchiha like madara to prevent being caught in a genjutsu.

simply put his genjutsu is not on itachi's level

My guess is that hashirama just has a Strong Genjutsu defense.

Maybe he Trained his eyes to detect Genjutsu like Deidara, I'm sure he knows full well of the sharingan's strong Genjutsu's .
