minato definitely can use shadow clone, but that jutsu is not a jutsu that can be used all the time since it split the user chakra by half.

yeah but the whole splitting your chakra up in to more parts of diminished (equal) size while useful when you have a huge resaviour of chakra.

if you have finite chakra such as Minato he may be actually weakening himself

and why waste time and chakra with clones when the original can do the job in less than a blink of an eye?

That depends how much chakra does he really have. The more he makes clone the further he reduces his chakra to half. Plus we haven't heard feats of him having huge chakra reserves like naruto So it could well go to his disadvantage
But I like the Idea you've It would make him luk more epic!

but t most he can only make 2 or 3, that won't be any problem for akatsuki and once the clone has been defeated, its all over for minato

one minato already beat the entire rock village army by teleporting between kunai held by the entire leaf village army, so with multiple kunay who needs shadow clones?

i don't think he needs bunshin, he already does his job insanely fast. although a bunshin would cause more havoc, especially if he can lay seals on the opponent with a clone and then teleport with another. which is why i think it's a bad idea for naruto to get ftg, at full potential he would be basically unstoppable, no one could manage to cope against him.

what i'd like to see from minato if there ever is another flashback is a more offensive use of his sealing abilities
