why can't tsunade used mokuton?

i mean she is the direct granddaughter of the first so why, if i'm not mistaken mokuton ninjutsu is a gekki genkai. how come only yamato can used it y only implanting DNA of Fist, and tsunade who is a direct descendant can't?

he was the only one (so far, not sure if the soap's second son could do it) who could use it... not even his own brother has that kg... but then again... his brother, the second hokage was a specialist with the water element, being able to summon large quatity of water and perform jutsus with few seals =/

Idk its a good question but I think its because you have to have a water and earth
Element I've never seen her use elemental techniques but from what I've heard it might be

The way I understand KG's is this.

Anybody can learn multiple elements, but to have a KG you have to be born with multiple affinities and the ability to combine them.

Elemental affinities and KG are genetic (for the most part, Dust release anybody?) but that doesn't mean that it is a guarantee that the descendants will get those affinities or KG.

Tobirama and Hashirama are a perfect example, brothers with different affinities. Well Hashirama just has one more but still it makes the point.

I agree. Unlike, Uchihas who seem to awaken their powers under emotional strss, Senju KG depends on the elemenatal effinity. Hashirama had both earth and water and therfore able to create wood. His brothjer was great with Water element but probably lacked earth and we have no idea about Tusnade's elements at all. But probablility is that she doesn't have this combination as well since she doesn't use it.
