At the end of the day you want to disregard the only thing which really matters; what Kishi says. And he says Hiruzen is the strongest. You just don't want to accept this hence why you won't 'do the kishi thing...............'

Kabuto said there aren't ninjas nowadays who were on the 1st Hokage's level. That rules out all dead shinobi a.k.a Hiruzen.

Hiruzen old can do every jutsu Hiruzen prime can. The only difference is the speed and strength. You consider that Hiruzen knows many jutsu's when all of us have not seen what those jutsu's are. If I can only find the chapter where someone said that a pre requisite to be a Hokage is to have a thousand jutsu's then it can rule out the argument of Hiruzen defeating Minato because he was the professor and he knows all jutsu.

Prime or not, there is no jutsu in his arsenal that we have seen so far (FACT) that can defeat FTG. What jutsu do you think that Hiruzen had to stop FTG?

Hiruzen's jutsu's shown in the manga:

Dead Demon Consuming Seal
Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall
Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet
Shadow Clone Technique
Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique
Summoning Technique (Monkey King: Enma)
Telescope Technique

If you'll say that he can defeat Minato because he was said to master all jutsu's then you're just speculating because until now there is no jutsu in Konoha that can stop FTG. And by speculating, you are making him a jutsu that can stop FTG which is not a good way to support Hiruzen being stronger than Minato.

Kishimoto himself has said Hiruzen is the strongest of all hokages. Are you saying Kishi is wrong?

Good Post. For The Most Part Though, Everything Is Only Speculative; The Main Reason For That Being That Little If Anything Has Been Shown Concerning Either Hiruzen's Power In His Prime, Tobirama's Power, Or Even Hashirama's.

The Problem For Most People, In My Opinion, Is How To Successfully Weigh Each Of Their Reputations; Hiruzen Was Known As The 'God Of Shinobi', But Hashirama Is Forever Credited With His Control Over The Tailed Beasts And Defeating The Infamous Madara Uchiha, Who Possessed The Nine-Tails During Their Last Battle. Because Little Is Known Of Hiruzen's Power In His Youth, Everyone Jumps On The Hashirama Bandwagon.

In Terms Of Hiruzen And Minato, The Fans Of The Latter Are Most Likely Soo Focused On His Body Flicker Technique That They Don't Account For Everything Else The Battle May Hold. In Their Eyes, As Soon As Minato Marks Hiruzen With His Seal, It's Over, As Far As They're Concerned. Of Course, There's Much More To It Than That; And With Hiruzen Being Referred To As The 'God Of Shinobi' During His Time, I'm Sure He'd Figure Out A Way To Deal With It - Something Minato Fans Don't Care To Think About, Or Admit, For That Matter.

Regrettably, With Nothing Shown Of Hiruzen's Feats In The Past, While More Of Minato And A Bit Of Hashirama's Pasts Were Expanded Upon, Until Kishimoto Provides Us With A Flashback Of Hiruzen's Strength In His Prime, There Will Be An Endless Amount Of People Who View Hashirama/Minato As Being Greater Than Hiruzen, Power-Wise.

By the time Minato was Hokage, the 3rd was in his 50s and his overall power had dropped considerably. Thus, Minato was unrivaled in his time. I do like that quote though.
People are referring to teh fact that Prime Hiruzen was the strongest Hokage bar none.

The manga said Hiruzen was the strongest.
The manga said Hashirama was the strongest.
The manga 'said' Minato was the strongest.

So the manga is unreliable. Therefore we can only trust Kishi's official word which is in the data book. Which CLEARLY STATES:

Page 117: "He is such a genius ninja that he was even called the 'Professor', and he still garners everyone's respect as the strongest Hokage in history." (「„プロフェッサー”と呼ばれたほ� ��の天才忍者であり、歴代最強の火影 として皆の尊敬を集め続ける。」, "'Purofessā' to yobareta hodo no tensai ninja de ari, rekidai saikyō no Hokage toshite mina no sonkei o atsume tsuzukeru")

FTG counters 95%? That's the dumbest thing I've read in a while. Minato needs to put seals on things. Tobi had no knowledge of this. Hiruzen did have knowledge of this, he wouldn't be dumb enough to go near a seal. Minato has to throw his Kunai if he wants to do FTG v2; easily countered by Hiruzen shadow clone shuriken.

its not suppose to have relevance because its merely praising, besides we barely saw anything from sarutobi, i know that it took a jutsu from minatos arsenal to defeat his masters, now maybe if he was in his prime it wouldn't have tooken that but he wasn't, and you'll never know how his prime was until we see it if we ever get to see point blank period,and once again im not saying hes better.
