contradictions are apparent, idk why they cant accept thatThe databook also says amaterasu is as hot as the sun, is it? No, or else it would kill anyone right away after hitting them and it hasn't. In the description about susanoo it says it comes with the yata mirror and sword of totsuka, does it? No.
The databook has been contradicted by the manga as well.
Anyway you're free to believe what you want, but as of right now Hiruzen's 3rd on my hokage list and will remain there until I see him in his prime fight or Kishi says in an interview the strongest hokage is Hiruzen, which will convince me he hasn't changed his mind.
I don't know what part of:contradictions are apparent, idk why they cant accept that
It was stated outside of the series as well, which is the main point brought up.I think Hashirama should be on top, debatable but still. Mainly because of Kishi's plot developments since Part 1. You have to ask the question "Did Kishi know that his statement of Hiruzen being number 1 would still apply in the future?" I would have agreed with you on that list but there has been so much development of the plot and feats shown that Hiruzen being the strongest Hokage is no more.
We are basing all this on statements from characters like you have from Iruka but I believe that an update is required, in another words the latest statement from Kabuto about Hashirama's abilities. So I believe Hashirama should be above Hiruzen, prime or not I dont see Hiruzen beating or getting past Mokuton.
Fair enough, I did say that was very debatable and I wasn't sure myself however I've taken Kishi's official word to be law.I think Hashirama should be on top, debatable but still. I agree with you. Though when Minato fought Tobi, he said Tobi's Spate/Time ninjutsu surpasses the 2nd Hokage's and his own which led me to believe that perhaps the 2nd Hokage had some sort of transportaion or teleportation technique that could combat Minato's.Ok so, LOL, I've seen that some people are slightly confused about who the strongest Hokage is.
Right, let me explain real easy for some of you................Minato is not the strongest Hokage. He is third strongest at best.
1. Hiruzen PRIME
2. Hashirama Senju
3. Minato Namikaze
4. Tobirama Senju
5. Tsunade
Ok people need to realise Hiruzen in his prime was actually the strongest hokage. I cannot stress the importance of the word 'PRIME' enough when talking about Hiruzen.

And the ultimate conformation (credit to Viewtiful for pointing this out):
Even if you point out that Iruka could have some bias or that characters that have stated this don't know anything, Kishimoto himself says in every databook that Hiruzen in his prime was the most powerful Hokage. In the first databook alone, this is stated at least three times:
Page 117: "He is such a genius ninja that he was even called the 'Professor', and he still garners everyone's respect as the strongest Hokage in history." (「„プロフェッサー”と呼ばれたほ の天才忍者であり、歴代最強の火影 として皆の尊敬を集め続ける。」, "'Purofessā' to yobareta hodo no tensai ninja de ari, rekidai saikyō no Hokage toshite mina no sonkei o atsume tsuzukeru")
Page 119: "'Strongest in history', 'genius', et cetera, the words used to describe the Third Hokage are filled with respect." (「„歴代最強”„天才”など、三代 火影を形容する言葉は賞賛に満ちて いる。」, "'Rekidai saikyō' 'tensai' nado, Sandaime Hokage o keiyōsuru kotoba wa shōsan ni michite iru.")
Page 265: "The Third is called the strongest, even among the past Hokage, and he is even admired as the 'God of Shinobi'." (「三代目は歴代火影の中でも最強と われ、„忍の神”と謳われたことも 。」, "Sandaime wa rekidai Hokage no naka demo saikyō to iware, 'Shinobi no Kami' to utawareta koto mo")
Being old=/= being irrelevant. Both the 2nd AND the 3rd databook state the same thing.
I know alot of you don't want to accept it because you've only seen the old man version (which i'll admit would lose to Minato probably), but in his prime he was said to have surpassed his predessors and was known as the 'God of Shinobi'.
Hashirama Senju's feats speak for themselves. I don't think I need to waste energy trying to convinve some of you who are well and truley baffled: Hashirama > Minato.
You could argue, if you wanted, Hashirama > Hiruzen due to feats etc, but just understand what 'knowing all of the jutsu available in konoha actually means'..............However, I admit this top position is easily interchangeable, and it's a VERY even argument when trying to decide who's stronger out of Hiruzen and Hashirama.
The fact is, even at the age of 69 Hiruzen was still able to hold his own against edo Hashirama and Tobirama, not to mention Orochimaru. Add to that the fact he still had enough in the tank to use Death reaper jutsu on himself and 2 other shadow clones. This at age 69.

Why FTG is useless vs Hiruzen:
Minato needs to put seals on things. Tobi had no knowledge of this. Hiruzen did have knowledge of this, he wouldn't be dumb enough to go near a seal. Minato has to throw his Kunai if he wants to do FTG v2; easily countered by Hiruzen shadow clone shuriken.

I gave Minato the benefit of the doubt when it came to Tobirama Senju because we know little about his abilities but i'm sure there are some people who'd argue he could defeat Minato.
Anyway, I was just clearing that up because some people were a little confused, especially when it came to Minato U_U
Tobirama can't cast water jutsu out of nowhere. In the anime he did that, but not in the manga.I agree with you. Though when Minato fought Tobi, he said Tobi's Spate/Time ninjutsu surpasses the 2nd Hokage's and his own which led me to believe that perhaps the 2nd Hokage had some sort of transportaion or teleportation technique that could combat Minato's.
I'm not so sure about this but he's also said to be able to use or summon water techniques from thin air. There's also an explaination on why he was able to do this but I forgot what it was. It was something about using the vapor from the atmosphere or something else. If this is the case then that means he could pretty much surprise Minato by pretty much casting a technique that would appear right behind Minato. Minato could just FTG if he notices it in which he probably will but it still proves to be a challenge.
No I 100% agree, I think Tobirama could infact be > Minato. However, I gave Minato the benefit of the doubt because we know so little about Tobirama.I agree with you. Im not 100% sure whether tobirama is stronger than minato. No I 100% agree, I think Tobirama could infact be > Minato.
Hmm, but it's mostly speculation therefore I gave Minato the benefit of the doubt. Even though I always believed hashirama to be the strongest I had to give it to Prime Hiruzen simply down to the fact Kishi himself has, on multiple occasions, said that this is the case. With Hashirama, I was sure he was the strongest due to his hype, feats (EMS Madara + Kyuubi) but with Tobirama I have so little info which is why I couldn't give a true evaluation and therfore ultimately gave 3rd place to Minato.Im not 100% sure whether tobirama is stronger than minato.
What i am certain of though is the hashirama/ sarutobi are the strongest. Reason i put hashirama on top is because ive always believed he was the strongest and the latest chapter pretty much confirmed that. Therefore its either hashirama then sarutobi or sarutobi then hashirama. Those two are guaranteed 1 and 2nd palce.
3 place is between tobirama and minato. Reason i believe tobirama might be stronger than minato is because, the hype hashirama received in the latest chapter somewhat also elevates tobirama's hype because i believe they had a similar relationship to izuna and madara. They trained together are were just as strong as each other, but the older brother (madara and hashirama), narrowly edging it and therefore being the leader of their respective clan.
If we were to look at techniques alone tobirama might actually be the strongest, but so far he hasnt received the hype that hashirama, sarutobi and minato have received
We will see Hashirama vs Madara, We'll see Hiruzen prime, but i'm also scared that we won't see Tobirama's full abilitiesI have a sinking feeling we'll never get to see much from Tobirama. There's so much about past characters Kishi could show us, but he runs the risk of letting the series overstay its welcome by dragging it on. U_U I'd really like to see what the real strength of the 1st-4th Hokage are. We pretty much know the extent of Hashirama's power is defeating EMS Madara + Kurama (huge feat), but I REALLY want to see that fight. However, we never got to see Hiruzen at his best, nothing from Tobirama himself (that Edo was a "shell" according t he Oro once he destroyed the personality) and we haven't seen anyone put some serious pressure on Minato in a fight.
Most likely. As far as appearance, I liked Tobirama the most. I just wish that we could have seen more of him. His weird "mask" looks the same as Yamato's, the spikey grey hair is a nice touch, his outfit is pretty neat, and he's a Sinju! Brother to the first Hokage! We know the least of him in comparrison to the other Hokages, and I'm kind of upset. In his prime minato would get raped no competition

The list is logical and makes quite a bit of sene. Alot of facts, little to none speculation, and quite a bit of support from others. My personal favorite (all around) is Minato.
I have a feeling we'll get to see Tobirama when they do the early days of Konoha flashback (most likely when Madara is about to be defeated). To be honest, there's no way we can speculate this thoroughly. Kishimoto trolled characters so bad. He hyped up Tobirama for some time in Part 1 then never showed him again. Tobirama was a master at Space Time jutsu, maybe even on the same league as Minato.
I honestly want to see more of Tobirama, more than I want to see more of Hashirama or Sarutobi.
