Haha good job. That is correct :D. Heres another:

Four men want to cross a bridge. The bridge is of a width such that a
maximum of 2 people may cross at a time.

One man takes 10 minutes to cross, another takes 5 minutes to cross,
another takes 2 minutes to cross, and the last takes 1 minute to
cross.

I will call these men A, B, C, and D, respectively.

Here is the catch. If two people cross the bridge together, they must
walk at the pace of the slower one. So if A and B cross, they take 10
minutes. Also, it is night. Each trip requires a flashlight. There
is only one flashlight. The men are not allowed to toss the light over
the river.

How fast can you get all 4 men over the bridge?

I am trying a smart ass answer. You talked about width only. No weight restriction too.
So A can sit on the shoulder of say D. And B on the shoulder of C.
D&C will take two minutes to cross the bridge. :cool:

Or if it is the other way then it is A&B carrying the others taking 10 minutes to cross. :rolleyes:


How would u put a giraffe in a fridge in three steps?

1. Open the fridge door.
2. Put the giraffe inside the fridge.
3. Then close the fridge door. :eek:

an old person loses everything in a bet to a guy named rob
even his house and his daughter
he begs Rob to spare his daughter
Rob tells him to arive near the river with his daughter at noon
when he reaches there with her daughter there are many people watching the point
Rob tells him that "i will put two rocks in this bag one white and one black
the girl will pick one of them out if its black then i will keep her and if it will be white then u keep her"
he puts the rocks in the bag
luckily girl sees that both rocks are black and he is cheating
what will she do to win?
(Note:she cant tell people that both are black because sh wont win by doing this)
She can rub both of the rocks together and white will come out O.O

^^That's a fallacy, because according to your function, the numbers on the left side aren't really treated as numbers, more like letters. Otherwise you would have a conflict with the left side being 5; the value would be 1 according to your logic, AND it would be 3125, which CANNOT happen, you can't have 2 different returns for one value. The answer is 3125

10 minutes. all four of them are going to cross the bridge all at the same time, not by sitting on shoulders but by simply walking behind the slower one. the width limit of the bridge would prevent passing the slower ones in front by the faster ones at the back.

why did you do nothing??

took me a while this next one as well

Being tied up is a thing to avoid but very useful when well employed. what does this describe?

that would be one lame answer. Anyways I came to 17 minutes,
First 1+2 = 2 min, 1 goes back = 3 min.
then 1 hands the flashlight to 10, 10 and 5 go, = 13 min.
on the other side, 2 walks back = 15 min. then 1 and 2 walk back again which makes 17 min. No cheap tricks just math ;)

Your trapped in a room with no windows or a door only a table and a saw how would you get out.

Saw the table in half, two halves make a whole. Climb through the hole. Makes more sense when you don't have to write it.:shrug:

I had come across a similar river crossing riddle. I forgot the logic. :D

An entertainer with a wolf, a goat, and a basket of cabbages wants to cross a river. There is a small boat that can hold only himself and one passenger/bag. He can't leave the wolf alone with the goat, or the goat with the cabbages. How does he get his cargo safely to the other side?

Come bk
Pick up the wolf. Drop it off, but take the goat back

Yeah. Once you know the logic it becomes simple. :D

Here is a similar riddle which requires more steps. :cool:

Six people need to cross a river. A boat is available which can carry only two at a time. All the six should get the other side. Three persons are normal guys. The other three guys are barbarians (duh). The restriction is the barbarians will eat the normal guys if they outnumber the normal guys, so don't let the normal guys get eaten :D. During embarking and disembarking the restriction doesn't apply, the barbarians need a bit of time to realize it :D.
Eleven steps are required.
