Itachi will not waste words or time on Sasuke

I have seen people debate over what Itachi will say to Sasuke or will they fight, or if they fight, who will win, etc. Its funny because if you look back at itachi, he has never wasted one word or action in doing futile tasks. He kept things from Sasuke, knowing he will never understand things and taking precaution that doesnt know the truth, but now that Sasuke knows, and knowing how perceptive Itachi is, he is unlikely to either try to reason with Sasuke or fight him. I think he might say a few parting words to Sasuke, which might have long term effect on him later and leave things to Naruto, who has taken responsibility for Sasuke. So, in conclusion, we are unlikely to see any long winding chapters on these two. Itachi is Kishi's coolest character and he is not about to turn lame anytime soon

Right now Naruto is tired and weakened... It would be unfair if sasuke appeared now... I think sasuke will have to get into a big battle with someone... it would give both sasuke and Naruto time to get their act together so when they do eventually meet... they'll both be at full power...

Maybe that fight is Itachi... sasuke won't just let him run past... and remember... The eye in the crow was programmed with the order to protect konoha... sasuke wants to destroy Konoha... and Itachi knows it... He WILL confront sasuke!

He chose Sasuke over Konoha a long time ago. He wants nothing more than Konoha's best interests, but he will take care of Kabuto and not waste time fighting Sasuke.

Exactly. He sees the futility of the situation and never stops for Sasuke.

The meeting wont last, as Itachi is under time constraint to stop Kabuto.

I think there was meaning in the last chapter how it shows a flashback with Itachi saying "Come face me when you have the same eyes as me", perhaps he meant it literally.
Also,
seeing as Itachi is in protect-konoha-mode and Sasuke is in destroy-konoha-mode it seems almost inevitable that something will happen between the two.
It's also unlikely story-wise the two will just pass each other, say "sup" and move on.
I personally see this as a very good opportunity for Sasuke's character to grow, which is very much needed after his very long hiatus.
