2. You have 1000 coins of 1 rupee only and u have 10 envelops . Distribute them so that when i ask any amount of money(upto 1000 obviously) u only have to give me some or all of the envelops only to give me the exact amount i asked.

Let machine 1 produce 1 ball, machine 2 produce 2 balls, machine 3 produce 3 balls etc.
Lets say that there were no faulty machines, the total weight should come up to: 1x1000g + 2x1000g + 3x1000g + 4x1000g + 5x1000g + 6x1000g + 7x1000g + 8x1000g + 9x1000g + 10x1000g = 55000g (55kg)

So weigh all of the balls together. If for example, the 5th machine was the faulty one, the amount would come up to: 1x1000g + 2x1000g + 3x1000g + 4x1000g + 5x900g + 6x1000g + 7x1000g + 8x1000g + 9x1000g + 10x1000g = 54500g (54.5kg)

So then you take away the amount you got when you weighed them together from the total weight of all the balls if none of them were faulty.
So 55 - 54.5 =0.5. Meaning the 5th machine is the faulty one.
(If the 3rd machine was faulty, the answer you would have got would be 0.3. If it was the 8 machine, the answer would be 0.8 etc.)

Yeh there was a similar riddle to this in my maths class.
