how many of you buy/have bought manga .. i have before i found site like manga stream.... it just took to long to wait for the next book and or magazine to come out ..... will i buy manga in the future ... of course ... just to add to my collection of epicness ... lol

I dislike the way Viz Media is going about things ... i buy manga bcuz i believe in supporting kishi for creating a great manga series .... smh .. Viz Media should change there name to GREED Media

Well...i never knew about Mangas when I was a kid. But now, im ready to pay for Naruto and OP.

I used to until Viz got greedy I would pay a yearly subscription if they could release it within hours of the japanese release online then it would be worth but not now or anytime soon they can shut a site dow but another one will pop up just ask the UFC theycan't stop any fans that wanna read it and scanlate/translate its gonna happen

I would purchase and read a physical copy but I am a closet reader. My friends, family and acquaintances don't know I read manga or watch anime. There are only 2 people who know I read it but they are my only friends who also do the same. I feel like being caught with manga would be worse than being caught with porn.

I read them on the internet first, and then buy my favourite volumes.

That way I still support the official release, while not having to spend money on the ones I didn't enjoy.

Since I wanna support Kishi's writing, and keep up with the newest part of the story..I buy hard copies when I can, and read new chapters/spoilers online when/if available.

Or maybe I should just learn japanese and get my manga from over there xd

i wish scanlators and manga writters could reach an agreement...has it would literaly benefit the manga writer far more than you guys think.A manga volume is a book,and like other books manga editors like shounen jump or viz gain alot of miney from kishis work

each volume is sold at a given value but only a portion of that value goes to the author itself...a bigger amount of value would be given to the author if he used scanlations,has they are cheaper and faster to mantain.

i as a writter istead of fighting those type of people i would try to reach an agreement

I love the manga but If I didn't buy the official product as well as enjoy the online manga,then I'd feel really cheap. I'd be ashamed.

If you like what you're getting for free online then you should support the official product too. Otherwise,you're basically stealing. I know it's not that severe or anything, but you should support Kishi and any other things you like.

I buy the Manga,have bought the anime up to Season 6 of Naruto. May buy the Shippuden series at some stage. I buy the games too. I also like buying Naruto arwork.
My girlfriend got me a great Gaara textured picture,very tasteful.

Well, I think that the anime is an exception, since they broadcast every episode subbed for free on the official website.

I always buy my manga. I like to have the manga in my hands and it's nice to collect them. If I'm really obsessed with a serie, I'll read online the newest chapters and then when the volume comes out, I immediately buy it. In my opinion: if you enjoy the manga, then you should support the mangaka. It's only fair.
