But it takes more than one Tech to become the Hokage. Look at the others. Wood Style, advanced Water, Sarutobi was rumored to know of the Hidden Leaf's jutsu. FTG does not a Hokage make.

Tsunade only has her strength, medical jutsu and summoning and she is Hokage lol xd

Now back on topic, well i think it is kinda obvious he at least knew more jutsu... but he didn't have the chance to use them, and the situation never required them.
But FTG was just too effective for him not to use it, and Rasengan doesn't look as a big deal anymore just because we have seen it so many times, but remember when Naruto first used it against Kabuto... the jutsu also did internal damage which even he wasn't able to heal on spot.

there just isnt enough information on him to make a conclusion on what he could and couldnt do except for the little information that was given on him. why cant we all just agree on that??? OH and ftg is what makes him special since he is the only 1 that can do it so im sure thats his best jutsu. so its going to come up in any minato argument

How abt "that jutsu"jiraiya said that minato left for Naruto to complete and that I see Naruto is using the s/t jutsu which is unconfirmed yet but I truly blieve that it is the ftg s/t jutsu without seal trust me Naruto uses it without seal and cn teleport like the fourth hokage which is hard to explain why the first hokage ddnt get the speed if she got the ability of kurama sensing just like Naruto and used kurama chakra so I do believe yondaime knows that tobi can suck Naruto in in if he got cut in his chain so he left the ftg technic for Naruto to perfected so that when tobi face Naruto and got cut up in his chain that he would teleport but I'm pretty sure it will reveal in time otherwisewhy killer b and tsunade said jut like the yellow flash and there are no coincidence in life or anywhere.

i highly doubt it. kishi is keeping ftg unique to minato. naruto cant teleport he is just very fast. and they saw a yellow flash when naruto moved at an extremely high speed is becuz he is glowing yellow with a hint of orange

Minato used FTG so much because it was just so damn useful:

-No matter how fast the opponent is, he can avoid them since FTG is instantaneous.

-There's no apparent limitations on the technique distance-wise, and can even transfer massive entities like Kurama.

-Appears to use very little chakra to jump between marked objects

-The "Technique Formula" markers can be applied to basically anything.

The question isn't to ask why Minato used FTG so much, but why would anyone expect him not to? :shrug: He's never been shown to be pressured by an opponent, and FTG pretty much makes sure that won't happen. He obviously had other skills, but with a technique like that with no apparent drawbacks other than being restricted to marked objects and no apparent counter, I think it's something that any ninja would use a great deal.

It's quite stupid to say he became Hokage SOLELY because of FTG.

I'm not saying he's weak but minato made two techniques that that were s-class and was the youngest hokage!
His genius should be his strongest trait not his mobility!
He was able to hold a battalion overnight..... It takes more than speed to do that, thats my point!

From my knowledge they never said Jiraiya and Naruto were the only ones they did mention that Jiraiya had toad like features when he was in sage mode and it was what they called impressive results. But as far as I know they never said that only Jiraiya and Naruto had sage mode.
On that same note of course Minato didn't use sage mode in most the fights shown when does he really have the time to use sage mode in the midst of battle. Even Jiraiya when he used sage mode had ma and pa on his shoulders so who knows maybe his FTG doesn't work with them on his Shoulders. or maybe for some reason he just couldn't use FTG in sage mode. And lets face the facts FTG is probably one of the most deadly things anyone could use especially when you are skilled with it. Its honestly not a technique anyone with it can use to its fullest so that shows that Minato had lots of skill. And of course he had other jutsu that goes with out saying.
Think of how many Jutsu Kakashi has Copied vs how many we've seen and how many he uses frequently.

If he had SM he wouldnt hesitate to use it during Kyuubis invasion or fight with A. In every battle we saw him he was relying mainly on FTG, thats the fact.

The Toads said he looked like Minato because Minato signed the contract to summon them as well... But just because he could summon them, doesnt' mean he ever learned how to perform Sage Mode.
