Did Itachi have a Plan B?

I always wondered if he planned to die by the hand of Sasuke, he was taking a pretty long shot, since Sasuke could have died easily on his path to Itachi. I guess the humane thing to do would have to leave him without sowing the seeds of hatred and just letting Sasuke lead a more normal life. I wonder if he had a Plan B if Sasuke never reached him or pursued him at all.

There was no plan B. He got all the high ranking ninja, Saru included, to protect Sasuke. That was the best thing he could have done to ensure his safety. And Itachi did not give him a choice, he created Sasuke's pain himself and made sure that Sasuke would pursue it. There was no way around it for Sasuke, Itachi was a mastermind and made sure he had it his way. Kind of cruel, but that's how Itachi was.

And again, you shouldn't make so many new threads so fast, unless you literally have 20 minutes a week to post all your ideas... lol

He always has a plan :-D.

Although he died for Sasuke and believed that he'll return to konoha, he gave Naruto Kotoamatsukami for the case, that Sasuke won't do it. Now he also has a plan for Edo Tensei :b.
