Why do the best threads get closed?

I don't see a reason why we should keep spam/flame and trolling threads open just because you find it amusing. That's it.

I know. But there should be some sort of leeway. The one with ChickenSoop I totally get. He was being unreasonable and it was the right call the shut it. But the thread about equal rights, should have been left.

some threads (like religious) get closed because ppl cant take some heat and because some idiots just cant keep it civil enough (which doesnt really bother me)

I agree. If it gets out of hand it should be shut.

That said, a warning to those in the thread would be good.

It's the one about equal rights that's annoying us. It was a great thread with some interesting points. Then a troll came along and got it wrong, then it closed.

Well I haven't seen any of his other threads and although I think there does appear to be some sexism, the one about equal rights had valid points to be made. Either way, I've never really questioned your judgment before so won't start now. I did not know that he was also Oprah...strange...ah well
