In a way or another (A NaruHina Fanfic) The Finale
As I've mentioned in my last chapter, here.

Hinata...You look different today." Naruto stared at Hinata in shock. He was surprised by how different Hinata looked.
"D-Different?" Hinata blinked, worried Naruto didn't like the way she looked. She frowned.
A slight blush spread across Naruto's face, turning his cheeks a shade of pink as he nodded. "Yeah."
He quickly composed himself and said, "Anyway, let's get going." Naruto snapped back his thoughts before it lead to nowhere.
The day passed quickly, but Hinata couldn't have been happier to spend the entire day at the festival with Naruto. For her, spending the day with her long time crush was a dream come true. The only thing that could spoil it for her was remembering the advice she'd received from Mira earlier.
It troubled her and made blood rushed to her cheeks, coloring them ever so slightly. /I can do it./ She looked around for a place where she and Naruto could speak privately and after a few minutes of searching with her eyes, found the perfect spot. It was a bridge not far from where she and Naruto was now.
"Naruto-Kun. Can we go there?" She asked, pointing at the bridge.
Naruto looked to her and nodded and walked with her over to the bridge. Now that they were away from the lights of the festival and alone together on the bridge, the dark sky overhead was far more noticable than it had been. The stars were out and shining brightly overheard. It was kind of romantic.
"Why are we here Hinata?" Naruto looked to her and asked, confused. He wondered what it was the other wanted to speak privately with him about and his heart pounded in his chest as he waited anxiously for the other to answer.
Hinata stared back at him. She was nervous but.. /I have to do this./
Before she could do anything, noises that were like thunder filled the sky. The noises startled Hinata, but she calmed once she stared up into the sky and saw that the loud noises were nothing more than fireworks being let off. She watched as they lit up the night sky with different patterns and wide array of rich, beautiful colors of pink, purple, green, gold, and various other colors, and smiled. "Look Naruto-kun! Aren't they pretty?!"
"Yeah! They are pretty!" Naruto was astonished by the different colors and patterns of the fireworks and couldn't agree more with Hinata that they were beautiful. After watching the fireworks for a few minutes, he shifted his gaze to Hinata. The light from the fireworks reflected on her face, giving her a soft, warm glow and making her look even more stunning that she already was. "Hinata. You really do look different today."
Hinata stared at him and blinked. That was the second time that day the other had said she was different. She cocked her head at him, confused. "Different?"
Naruto continued to stare at Hinata, making her blush. "Y-You're beautiful." He whispered softly, shyly, there's a hint of blush on his cheeks. He might have sounded a bit shy just then, but he was at least being honest.
Hinata blushed and quickly tried to hide it by turning away, but she was flattered the other thought she was beautiful. Especially since the compliment came from Naruto. /Naruto-Kun said I'm beautiful./
"Hey. Hinata." Naruto asked slowly." When we returned from our mission in Caloria, you began behaving strangely all of a sudden. I'm worried something might be bothering you. Is there anything you'd like to talk with me about?"
Hinata turned away from him so that her back stood facing him. /So.. Naruto-Kun has noticed that I have been behaving differently./
She sighed. "Naruto-Kun. Do you remember me saying that there was something I wanted to tell you?" She asked.
Naruto stared at her and blinked. "What?! So you mean, asking me to attend the Konoha festival isn't what you wanted to tell me?!"
Even though Hinata's back was turned to him, she nodded. "Yes, there is something else."
"What is it? What's bothering you? Tell me. Maybe I can help." Naruto offered. He wished she'd turn around and face him. The fact that she couldn't look him in the eye while she tried to explain things worried him.
Hinata felt her heart race. She had to tell the other now how she felt or else she might never get another chance, or the courage, to tell him. She took a deep breath, then slowly turned to face Naruto. Staring deep into his pretty blue eyes, she spoke. "Naruto-Kun, I love you."
"What?!" Naruto stared at her in shock. He felt as stiff as a board. He couldn't move. All this time, that's what the other had wanted to tell him?!
"I.. I love you," Hinata stated gently, still staring deep into the others pretty blues. "I've loved you ever since we were in the Ninja Academy and have always loved you, even now." Even if he didn't return her feelings, she was still proud and admired herself for finally confessing her true feelings to Naruto. She smiled to herself. /I did it, Princess Mira!/
"I... I don't know what to say." Naruto ran a hand through his hair, spiking it more than it already was. "You've been a good friend to me, Hinata, and precious to me but, are you sure?" He asked lamely before rolling his eyes and shaking his head at himself. Of course, Hinata was sure, or else she wouldn't have brought it up, right? That was a stupid question.
"Naruto-Kun." Hinata's byakugan eyes locked with Naruto's blue ones. "Before we left Caloria, Princess Mira and I spoke privately. She found out about my feelings for you and advised me to tell you about them."
"Princess .. Mira .. did?" Naruto stared at the other, dumb-founded.
"I followed Princess Mira's advice. It doesn't matter if you like someone else or not." Hinata said, feeling a little braver than she had a moment ago. "All that matters to me is that we still get to go on missions together, that we remain friends, like we were before. I just.. I hope you understand. I couldn't keep my feelings bottled up inside anymore. I had to tell you how I feel, even if there were a chance you don't love me back. Also, I'm not asking for you to love me back, just that.. you understand where I'm coming from and that I had to tell you."
Hinata couldn't but feel proud of herself, expressing how she felt about Naruto in front of him. Now she could relax.
"I'm flattered, Hinata, and thank you for telling me all this." Naruto managed a small smile and smiled at her. "But, I don't... I don't have those same kind of feelings for you."
"I know." Hinata whispered. It was difficult, knowing the person she loved was in love with another, Sakura.
"You know," Naruto said, looking at her. "When I was twelve years old, I thought I was head over heels in love with Sakura chan. I would have given anything to go out with her on a date. I thought she might be 'the one' with whom I was meant to be with, but then, I started to see Sakura chan as more of a sister."
"What I'm trying to say is, I like you the way you are. Ever since we were Genin." Naruto said, speaking sincerely. He was begining to appreciate the beautiful young lady standing there next to him, staring at him.
Hinata had thought she handled the rejection well, but then realized she was still having a difficult time accepting Naruto's words. She wanted to believe she would end up with Naruto, but she also didn't want to lie to herself and build up false hope where there wasn't any hope at all. Still ...
"Hinata." Naruto spoke up, interupting her thoughts. "Thank you for asking me to celebrate Konoha festival with you. We should do this again sometime." He said, thinking, then added, "Next time, would you like to go on a date with me?"
Hinata looked to him and nodded, beaming happily. It was the happiest moment of her life. Why she shouldn't be happy? She smiled. "Of course."
