Rock lee...kishi could have done a better job.

u kno...i was gonna make this a simple vs thread, but i changed my mind. im here to represent one of the strongest and(had it not been for the lack of ninjutsu skills) potentially one of the most powerful ninja and that is rock lee. im far from a fan boy of anytime, as i respect all the characters kishi has created and everyone here on the base. but we all have our favorites and mine just happens to be bushy brow
according to the, hes not very big on stats( around 21-22 i believe) but his number and feats are solely based on taijutsu alone. unlike guy, killer bee, and A, lee has enter each and everyone of his fights with out ninjutsu and genjutsu capabilities. this is what kishi wanted for him, to show the struggle and the true power of hard work and determination. each and every character faces some form of adversity throughout the entire series, but non so much as lee. thats what his whole character is based on. even during comedic periods, he is still overcoming things and trying to accomplish so much more, trying to raise the bar in every thing he does. but had kishi saw things just slightly different, could lee have been so much more? i mean physically, lee is most certainly a force to be reckoned with and no one will argue that. but why not use that immense power to show more of lee? yes, i know this series is called naruto, im not saying make it all about him. i just feel like we never get to know lee in his moments of spotlight. even in his fights, he's never really in a one on one(except against gaara). does anyone else feel this way?

could say the same about neji, shino or pretty much anyone strong of team 11.

yes, but only to the point that he atleast couldve been special, like being able to open the 8th gate with out dying, but being completely immobolize for atleast two to three months

good thought, and it would deff put him among the elite, but giving him a power up such as that would warrant the question of why none of the other got one i guess. in the first have, it was sasuke, neji, lee, and of course naruto. its very clear who pulled away from that group, but are we just supposed to cast aside the other two? theres no doubt in my mind that is possible for both lee and neji to surpass guy in strength and intelligence respectively.

Kishi certainly could have covered more in regard to any of the Konoha 11. But the bottom line is that Kishi made each of them completely unique, showing certain sides of human nature, and sides of himself. He was never going to OP any of the other 9 from the Konoha 11, thats just how it is. Like you said, the series is called Naruto and Sasuke is Kishi's favorite character, so thats who he concentrates on.

that would be nice. when it was introduced, there wasnt really a set of techs shown or a more detail history, more so a history of lee's drunken fist alone. not where it came from or who created it. unless i missed something?

kudos to u sir, i could not have said it any better. had he done the alternative of fully going into everyones history and exploring them to the full extent, the we would be overwhelmed with information and the main plot line would be lost in translation. i completely agree with that. yet a small part of me ( as im sure its the same with everyone else) still carries that "what if" in my thoughts all and all im still grateful for the way things have played out so far and i cant wait to see whats in store next

Ya i agree!!!!!!! I would like to see lee become a master of weapons he needs to grow some. Lee with a sword would be great, but don't know which one would be good for him.

or even better... if lee had lighting release armor and learned the Lightning Plough Hot Sword with bee hehehehe *dreaming*
