What is the name of the Sage of the 6 Paths?

Could his surname be Uchiha?
Could his surname be Senju?
Or could his surname be totally unheard?

By right, if his 2 sons were to have their own family and kids, down the road, they should be using the surname of their father to name their kids.

Unless they only managed to have daughters who eventually married people from Senju clan and Uchiha clan.
