Can Itachi see/predict the future?

I'm confused as to the significance of this:

"When you will have the same eyes as me come and fight me"

I'm taking this as Itachi knowing he would still be around after Sasuke had taken his eyes, thus implying he knew it would happen before it happened. However, it could also just be referring to the MS.

What do you guys think because i'm really not sure?:shrug:

Not that he looked into the future, he knew he would be revived by edo tensei somehow and also knew that Sasuke would someday take his eyes, im thinking that they will have another fight cause all itachi wanted was for Sasuke to be stronger than him and if Sasuke beats him then Itachis soul will leave the Pure world.

I'm not so sure anymore. I know Itachi planned to die by Sasuke hands..but he said since coming back he wants to leave Sasuke to Naruto...so we'll see next few chapters. I personally do not think anything big is going to happen until around chapter 600

But more improtantly, itachi knows that the ms causes blindness so its obvious that sasuke would take his eyes to avoid the same faith as him.

First of all allow me to say people overestimate minato's and itachi's intelligence so far that they are basically calling both fortune tellers.

There was alot of flashbacks and this was one of them. Anyway after that sasuke continues to talk.
The chance of itachi fighting sasuke again makes no sense

i don't think he can "predict" the future, but I'm guessing since he's a genius, he thinks of everything that can happen. he's smarter than shikamaru, in that he thinks many steps ahead and then chooses what course of action to take under each circumstance. that's all.
