I've been wondering for a while now about the chakra cost of taijutsu. I've seen a lot of people on here that believe that Taijutsu does not cost chakra, but it aint true people!!! However I do wonder if the cost for jutsu like Afternoon Tiger or Lotus cost as much chakra as typical nin or genjutsu of the same level. Anyone know?

It is less taxing in the sense that most Ninjutsu actually uses Taijutsu anyway.

Tailjutsu just means physical movement. Rasengan is Ninjutsu, but running and landing it requires physical movement.

Any sort of Jutsu uses Chakra.
It really depends on the level of the Jutsu to know how much it consumes.

As for Taijutsu, it uses Chakra but not at the level of Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.
So yes, it is less taxing.

Hmm well I was wondering mostly because of Eight Gates. Now I know of course that the gates give a speed and power boost but I sometimes wonder if they just need more chakra. They could have low chakra pools and need to replenish from using their base speed which is impressive in itself.

I think it use no to little chakra depending on the move, but on the other hand, the strain are put on the muscles and body not chakra system.

I always that Taijutsu didn't use chakra and relied on the Stamina of a person, but when i thought about it, chakra is basically Stamina.
If all your chakra is depleted, your very worn down and will die (like Kakashi).
If all your stamina is gone, your very worn down without anything to go on, so you just stop.

So yes Taijutsu is much less taxing compared to Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.

Stamina is used for taijutsu,
For nin- and genjutsu, stamina is converted into chakra. At least I think it's this way. :D
