It is it fair to judge an Edo Tensei shinobi by the same standards that you'd judge a shinobi with a pulse? I've seen many vs threads that used "evidence" from the manga to gauge an Edo Tensei shinobi's prowess. But I disagree with these assumptions because we can't know how the ninja would actually engage an enemy under their own free will especially since many of the edo tensei tell the shinobi alliance forces all of their weaknesses something a shinobi never does. Naruto beat an edo tensei 3rd raikage so by extension Naruto is stronger than the 3rd raikage imo no. Why because the 3rd had no free will and Naruto had much knowledge about him.

I don't know tell me what you think....if you agree cool if not that's cool too...

You make a good point. I'm sure some of the fights would turn out much differently under different circumstances.

I agree, also the fact that the Edos can't be killed and must be sealed meant they were more careless when attacking as they didn't need to worry about smaller attack as much as if they were alive.

It's not fair. There are a lot of circumstances that can occur with an edo, each with its advantages + disadvantages

this is what I believe edo warriors are essentially puppets....

correct if there is no consequence of dying then what's the point in strategy?.

what part isn't fair? true many things can happen but it's hard to draw a conclusion because the edo circumstance

i agree but 3rd vs naruto clone ( not naruto) + he was sage mode not KM. and 3rd used his most powerful attack

true it was a clone but that clone also had a Kumo ninja protecting him and feeding him intel the whole time.

its unfair for people weak in life like itachi and kimimaro to be judged on their edo tensei power IMO
