We all know Itachi is heading towards Kabuto but i feel that Sasuke will battle the Ninjas that are on there way to naruto but he won't fight them physically but mentally. This would be a great way for Kishi to show of Sasuke's advancement in Genjutsu.
He doesn't have Karin no more so he can't go balls out and waste chakra when he knows he has to fight Naruto. I think he will put people under his genjutsu and show them the horrors of his childhood with the massacre and then flip the script by showing himself massacre their entire family which would be a horrible genjutsu. But during all of this Itachi will battle Kabuto using his MS which will make Sasuke's sharingan react or get a weird sensation like how the silver and gold brothers effected Naruto when they transformed into v.2 nine tails mode.
This will cause Sasuke to spare the Ninjas and investigate the source of this sensation which will lead him to see Itachi battling Kabuto. After the explanation of whats going on Sasuke will become infuriated with Kabuto using his brother in such a manner this will lead to their battle where kabuto will try to capture Saskue.I think Kabuto has a Genjutsu counter why would he be so confident regardless if Tobi threatened him.
I believe you need a Genjutsu on the scale of EMS to fully be able to put Kabuto under Genjutsu. Sasuke ends up becoming successful in releasing the Edo Tensei but becomes exhausted but since he didn't finish off the ninjas that were heading to naruto, a couple of them followed Sauske and planned to take him out While his stamina is low. This will cause Tobi to retreat since he needs Sasuke.
