Hey guys, I haven't been particularly active recently. So I'm not sure if this exact issue/theory has been mentioned before. I never noticed it on the searches... So here we go!
Just a minor theory I was pondering this morning. As we all know there has been no true 'death' during this war, more specifically amongst the allied forces. Now I believe that a death will happen very soon, I don't know who, where or why. But the last manga chapter made this issue become more apparent.
While there has been alot of sealing and likely alot of deaths to characters we don't know (basically the thousands of foot soldiers) there hasn't been a significant death to one of the main characters who are not under the influence of Edo-Tensei.
I believe, that the return of Sasuke to the battlefield, as was stated (in the translation I read) will bring havoc to the battlefield. I believe that Sasuke will likely defeat someone of at least mid tier significance, possibly of relatively high significance among the allied forces. The reason for this, is that I believe Kishimoto will want to further emphasise how far Sasuke has fallen into darkness.
By ruthlessly murdering one or possibly more shinobi, is the perfect way to do this. It would be the first proper death and for it to be at the hands of Sasuke would let us all know exactly what he is all about. We have seen this side to him before, but he has not succeeded in trying to kill any of the leaf shinobi with the exception of Danzo. But I see Danzo seperately from the rest as Sasuke had a reason to hate him. He failed in his attempt to kill Sakura just after this battle.
But if he kills somone who really, hasn't done anything to him or his 'precious' brother, it would be a massive moment within the manga and we have had plenty of significant moments in the last few months. So if more of Sasuke's ever growing dark side manages to claim victim to one or more of the allied shinobi I would not be surprised.
He will probably wipe out half of the footsoldiers first though... haha!
Any thoughts on this issue guys?
