Kharn losing interest in the ways of bushido that the other samurai swore by, became interested in a rumour of a diety who values only the strength of arms and the tally of deaths his worshippers inflict. Kharn intersted in such things left the land of iron in the dead of night in search of the being known as "Khorne".
His search took many years and he gained a reputation as a ruthless murderer who showed some form of valour as in not harming those he deemed innocent.
Eventually after a gruelling battle heavilly injured and fearing death he began to hear a voice booming like a thunderstorm in his ears. Commanding him to a near by mountain giving him strength to make the ardious journey.
After a day and a night of climbing Kharn found himself at some form of burial mound with an axe as large as a man with razor like teeth in the blade embedded in the mound like a lumberjack axe in a tree stump.
All the while the voice was calling to him to take the axe as his own, upon touching the hilt as if struck by lightning from the heavens themselves he immediatly lost all rationality and was overcome by a bloodlust that could not be overcome by any other in the world before or after him save for the mighty tailed beasts themselves.
from that point on Kharn no longer knew of such things as valour and mercy he now sees no difference between friend or foe for he was now the Chosen of Khorne, the harbringer of death and all shall be offered up to the Skull throne.
Due to his affiliation with Khorne, Kharn hates Genjutsu and all users of it with an extreme vengence and has been known to go after those who have "that look in there eyes" especially due to him seeing it as cheap trickery a real warrior would never use.
He is one who welcomes any and all challengers for he cares not whose blood flows and long as it runs hot and freely.
his favorite saying is shouting "Blood for the Blood God" at the top of his lungs while charging into battle.

Gorechild a large axe which an ordinary man would find combersome with two hands but due to Kharns monsterous strength is able to swing it with one but wields it efficently two handed if the opponent is of a high calibre. this weapon is well known to be able to cleave a fully grown man in half with but a flick of the axe.

Kharn was a master of all weapons once, now he is a slave to only Gorechild and his deity.

Before Kharn heard the call of Khorne he was one of the many samurai who resided in the land of Iron and after many years as a loyal and proven warrior became part of Mifune's guard detail but Kharn was never one to stay in one place idlely. So not to long after he requested of Mifune to be put back on patrol as he liked to be amongst the men defending the nation.
Upon gaining Gorechild he immediatly left the mountain his wounds healed hy his "Gods" patronage and headed to the nearest village and slaughtered indescriminatly leaving only corpses in his wake. and he continued to do so for many weeks until word made its way to Mifune of a man who's description fitted the missing samurai Kharn.
Mifune sent an 10 man platoon after Kharn with order's to bring Kharn in dead or alive and to give him the option to perform seppukku if he felt to dishounoured to show his face in the land of iron again. Word reached Mifune again, that his men had all been decapitated and their bodies positioned in the shape of a strange skull like icon.
Kharn has lead many a maurader and bandit band by gaining full control of them by killing the current leader and any who disagree with the change in management, but as always the urge too kill is to great and always ends up killing his own men when his bloodlust is not saited by the blood on his axe.
The tally of kills to his name is unknown as he never leaves a survivor if he can help it and the only one who knows how many have died by his axe is Khorne himself and he is never satisfied until the earth runs crimson red.
He has fought against many warriors of all creeds and talents across the world and is even been known to charge into the boarders of the 5 great nations if an enemy is in sight or is trying to retreat to a safe zone.
Many who require the brutal savagery that is Kharn, have sent messengers to try and hire him for his skills in the art of killing but his answer is always the same, never look for Kharn, Kharn looks for you and you don't want him and Gorechild looking for you...
The bingo book has Kharn down for $100,000 for dead only as alive is never an option with Kharn.
