Madara didn't die after their fight. He got a portion of hashirama's power and he also awakened the rinnegan before he died.

Seriously, Tobi gave Madara the Rinnegan? Wow you are an idiot. Uchiha mastered all types of combat, they were even called the Harbringers of War, they could use S/T, Nin, Tai and Genjutsu just as well as the Senju could. The senju just had more stamina they wernt more well rounded.
