I live in the USA. we have a terrible president and our economy is collapsing, the country is plagued by criminals, and even worse by a power abusing police force that is given more and more power every year and they treat regular citizens like criminals just because they can. Im more scared of running into cops than criminals, even if im not doing anything illegal cops have the ability to harass and arrest you just because they feel like it these days. the countries wealth is becoming more and more one sided, the rich get richer off the poor that keep getting poorer, which will eventually lead to a revolution, and the government only caters to the rich and doesnt care about the poor. enemployment is increasing, and jobs are harder and harder to find since they rich who hire the poor are scared to lose money so they have cutbacks in their corporations to make sure they hold on to their riches. almost 3/4 of the country is overweight, and laziness is a plague thats almost as bad as ignorance. Our school system is corrupt and teaches kids lies that are an attempt at keeping them under the governments control, and anyone who doesnt conform to be a teachers pet is pushed aside and forgotten. in my school the only way to have any chance of success was to belong to one of the "powerful" families and if you werent one of them, you were nothing.


theres a tiny fraction of the bad things about america...now the good things.....

Land of the lost​

There's really not much to say about this country in which I find my self wandering aimlessly. I rise every day to a scorching sun, having to sleep wrapped up in heavy clothing, so as not to burn my skin when I wake up or freeze to death at night. I lost track of time ages ago, I think, because I'm not even sure how long it's been.. How long was it since I could last be graced by the digits which keeps the time for us? I don't know... I can only count days on the stick I keep with me on my planless journey, carving a mark for each day which has passed, too lazy to count the many marks to be able to tell you how long it's been..
Why do I keep wandering in these desolate lands? What am I searching for? I don't know... Wait. I do know, deep down inside I do, but my own cowardice keeps me from learning the truth, as I escape what is by putting my left leg in front of my right, then the right in front of the left, over and over again..
The nights I fear the most, not for the wild beasts creeping around, trying to find food so at to only survive another day.

What I'm afraid of is the stillness and silence enveloping me as well as the all encompassing darkness. I've many a night found myself waking in tears as the result of my nightmares of the day when it all started.. I cry out loud, but the only beings to hear me are the beasts, always lurking, afraid of what might and inevitably will come..

It is all deserted.. I've walked through many cities and villages, but none other than me are present to remember their former glory.. There was once clean water, food for everyone and a house with walls and roof to cover us from the sun and the freezing cold at nights..
I no longer remember the faces of my lover, she vanished along with everyone else that infernal day.. I'm so sad.. I miss her and my friends so.. I'm lonely without them..

But so is the life of someone who's missed the early release of the latest chapter.. He's destined to wander in loneliness as the others merrily converse about how that awesome technique did this and that.. He is left alone to his own misery, only with himself to blame for not being observant enough.. Damn you 'up to date' jerks.. Damn you..​
