So I found this at the yahoo news and I was wondering what you just thought of it? I have nothing against religion or religious people but when they take their religion and culture to the extreme, they manipulate and hurt their own children.

There is a fine line between being religious person and being a totalist with your religion/culture.
It's horrible what this woman had to go through growing up.​

I agree with this. It became more of an abusive cult than a religion and I'm glad she stood up to this abuse.

I am too, and it's sad that it's still going on today with the older and more strict religions who have their cultures around that one religion.

That was sad and horrible. I think that sects that close themselves off from society are, to state the obvious, pretending the world outside doesn't exist, hasn't changed. They are trying to create a utopian society but that will/has backfired on them. All people need to live in the present/real world and deal with reality; not ignore it. Groups such as this begin with good intentions at their onset, but in the end such groups become a prison camp. ​

It's sad...even now she still not free but living much better than before.

her family only shows us how horrible and crazy they really are but not only them, also other parents with same beliefs.​

Her family was whack and basically, ****ed up.

Good thing she broke away. I respect that and support her.

I feel sorry for girl so much to deal with that kind of regulations all her life, I feel disquested on her families methods of their religion :|

At least she is in a better life away from her family.
