Who's afraid of Negging Admins?

I know I made this like 2 seconds ago but it was in the wrong section.

Anyway, I recently came across a thread in which I felt an admin spoke some rather epic rubbish. I negged them. They got a bit miffed and replied to me about it....not very grown up I know but hey.

So my question is simple.

Hell Yeah=You are afraid
Nah Dude, DANGER-ZONE= You are boss and afraid of nothing...not even the DANGER-ZONE!!!!

as i said in the other thread whether or not it is your first day on the base or if you have been here since the base existed if the comment was negative or derogatory in anyway you should be neg-rep regardless of who you are

I´m not afraid but i know they will just respond in a stubborn and childish way by banning, lying about you doing rep abuse, use their power etc.
Personally, i think it´s dirty to negrep someone and i don´t do it unless the person did it to me or really REALLY deserves it and has been getting on my nerves lately.

Neg repping an admin/mod is pointless, but then again I think all neg repping is pointless.

Most of the time, people neg rep the staff when they feel they've been treated unfairly after they broke a rule or something. They rage against "the man" and try to overanalyze the rules and find loopholes so they can be in the right and prove they were unfairly treated. They dont realize that we are volunteers who try to keep the forum in a state where it is appropriate for everyone to visit, because all they really care about is themselves.

you can do it and I hope it makes you feel better, but it doesn't solve anything.

Ive never even thought about that. I think neg repping is pretty bad. it's like the smoking gun "i got you first b****!!!!"

I guess if a mod/admin attacked me though I would neg em lol.

I only neg rep people when they start derogatory flaming that has nothing to do with an argument. Like say im trolling a fanboy and he is giving lame arguments about how sasuke should be hokage and king of the world or such and sounds dumb, i wont neg rep them for their opinions, but if they turn the argument personal and turn it into insults against either me or someone else on the thread rather than just regular trolling, then i will neg rep. example, this kid who lost a trolling battle against me, and got verbally owned in the process by me, resorted to gay bashing me because of my sig, then he got neg repped. or if someone neg reps me for a bad reason, I will neg rep them back, but if they neg rep me with good reason, ill admit i deserve and and though i might troll them a little, i wont neg rep them. I have only given like 3 neg reps total i think.

I +rep a lot though, whenever I think someone has a good point or even if they had a point i disagreed with but argued it well and were mature about it, or makes a cool thread thats really worth posting on, or if they +rep me for something I will usually return the favor as long as actually online and notice/have the motivation.

so i guess if a mod is on either side of this argument, I would +rep or neg rep them however they deserve, and if they react immaturely to it then they dont deserve to be admins.

The negative reputation option is not a way to express your disagreement with someone else's opinions, but rather to show you are fed up with repeated rules breaking behavior of a member. For example, a member who keeps advertising or spamming and doesn't want to stop should get neg reped.

When you are using this system to show you disagree with someone's opinions that means you are pretty much an idiot that abuses a system which was build in order to prevent trolling. It's not like anyone has a right or ground to call someone's opinion rubbish or dibble. That's a reason to get infracted here.

So, personally you, lswhyte123, who neg repped me because you found my post to be 'rubbish', have no right of insulting anyone, no matter if they are an admin or not. Also, I don't give a damn about your opinion or the neg rep i just found it funny that you accused me of 'acting smart' when you couldn't even type it right. That goes to show something, right?

And this is the end of the discussion. No similar threads are to be opened; we can use visitor messaging for this matter.
