How long would it take for Hidan to die?

Ok, so Hidan's my favorite character (obviously) so I've always hoped for his resurrection..

Kishimoto confirmed that he wasn't dead a while ago, but that he was slowly dying from lack of nutrition. So if that's the case, how long does it take for someone that's immortal to actually die? There is no definitive in this, so is it safe for me to still have hope for the return of Hidan at some point?

Oh yeah...he was friggin hilarious during his appearance. It wasn't often that you would see someone with his raunchy humor consistently. He was absolutely evil, sarcastic, and funny as hell. He was instantly my fav...<3

Hidan is not immortal.

He can die. By definition this rules out immortality. There's no reason for it to take him any longer to die from starvation than any normal person.

Just what I thought, however, many people seem to dismiss his character altogether when he really was bad ass. Saying that he would die just like anyone "normal" is ludicrous! If that was the case, he would have died long ago when his head was first removed...
