You got the wrong idea, my dear. Genjutsu has already proven effective against the Rinnegan, namely Pain. If you claim that it won't have any effect on Nagato, you're the one who needs to prove it, not vice versa.

So I'm guessing you don't have any proof Itachi can capture nagato in a genjutsu? That's all I needed to know thanks!

6 allies aka pain , naraka path would take out itachi , and the summons can easily distract itachi , yes he may control 1 , but hteres gonna be like 50 others ,
susanoo has 2 weakspots , the ground and the back , lasttime i checked shinra tensei would go under susanoo and own him , ST solos a village , susanoo doesnt
susanoo also hurts itachi making his demise much quicker

No, no, you got it wrong again. Genjutsu works on every living individual. It's also stated that it works on the Rinnegan. Those are the facts, and they're obviously in Itachi's favour. If you're claiming now that Nagato is resistant to it or could break it due to his Rinnegan, you're the one who needs to bring evidence, not me.
