Do you have proof to support this claim? If you do I'd love to see the scan where Itachi traps nagato in a genjutsu.

You got the wrong idea, my dear. Genjutsu has already proven effective against the Rinnegan, namely Pain. If you claim that it won't have any effect on Nagato, you're the one who needs to prove it, not vice versa.

Susanoo with Sword of totsuka to seal the caster would be a good choise for itachi to make in this case ! the summons vanishes when the caster is down : btw susnoo will protect itachi the second he needs to stab Nagato
the shared vision : Itachi stroke the rinnegans with his Shuriken Jutsu ! he abused that Field of Vision !

What would he do if Nagato is in the air?
Nagato is not slow, he was fast enough to capture Killer B and Naruto.


Itachi only get because all the eyes were focused on Naruto and Bee.

no need... totsuka would reach low levitation bird .. and once it got stabbed. mean game over.

Nagato itachi can't fight a edo zombie crippled nagato by himself and got cheap shots until kabuto focused on him then he asked for help... obviously noone can beat him apart from uchiha fanboys

Itachi wins for the following reasons IMo

1. genjutsu is an option neither side has proven if nagato is immune to genjutsu that is only fan faith but lets keep this aside
2. sword of totsuka is a fuinjutusu or sealing tech meaning it works on nagato since he can absorb ninjutsu not fuinjutsu
3.bansho tenin won't work itachi can resist it like naruto did with one hand on the ground and sussano has 4
4.for nagato to use preta path he has to be close but if he tries that he is going down due to sword of totsuka same goes for human path he has to get close
5.asura path is useless
6.animal path is not also too useful as seen b4 against itachi
7. CT works but is slower in comparison and gives more than enough time for itachi to seal him especially since his mobility is bad
