No you (among others) perceive as 3v1 but what was shown was Itachi's ability to fight on par (if not above) pain/nagato

the fact that every tech has its weakness doesn't mean every char can exploit that weakness. He needed assitance, because in spite of knowing, it wasn't enough. If you don't see that, you're blind.

naruto and bee stood back while itachi was the only one charging and fighting nagato, plus nagato took no damage from naruto nor bee. itachi beat him 1 0n 1 with no effort. plus nagato is an idiot tobi controlled him and made nagato to what he is(rinnagan user) to suit tobi's plan's just another pawn under tobi. plus naruto beat him as well so know your facts idiot before you debate me over stupid fanboy theory's.:flaw:

Wasn't Itachi a Pawn too Itachi only helped get naruto and bee free by coming from the back, and then he sealed him. SO that one on one never really happened bud U_U

Also since we have not seen the Renningun been put under any Visual genjutsu, any genjutsu for now is a NO.
Amutrasu can be predicted and Nagato has the abilities to repeal it. Since we have not seen Nagato absorbing the Flames we can Say it can't for now, However by using the tech too manipulate gravity it well back fire and hit Itachi, even if the flames doesn't hit Itachi the tech would have injured him or moved him far away.
Susunno is slow however very powerful, but because it is made by pure chakra it can be absorbed, also it can't stand the Almighty push, Planetary devastation.
If Nagato is a cripple that means itachi is some what blind and very sick, also Itachi has low Chakra while Nagato has a lot. Nagato can use most of his powers at the same time.
It does not matter who is smarter than who, although i do agree that it plays a big part that does not mean Itachi well win. Another thing is that Itachi has the Mirror tech however it has not been proven that it can repal the abilities that Nagato has.
Ask your self this question can Itachi take on a six tailed Naruto with only one tech.....

Yes itachi was able to fight on par for a little while till CT he would of been crushed by if it wasnt for the combined efforts of itachi, naruto, and bee. you cant say he could do it by it himself cause we dont know if he can its just specualtion but i dont think he would of made bee and naruto waste chakra if he could do it alone. and itachi only broke edo when the crow came out of naruto without that he wouldnt of gotten out of edo he didnt overcome it it was broken by shuisui's eye. yes every tech has there weakness but if you find out the weakness it doesnt necessarily mean you can defeat the tech on your own. And know kabuto was suprised when itachi arrived so from that he wasnt trying to pay attention to him he was focused on naruto and bee.

Susanoo can protect Itachi from most of Nagato's offensive techniques( like asura path's weapons and other elemental techniques), and so can his Yata no Kagami. Totsuka can seal Nagato if it hits him.

Itachi is much smarter than Nagato, but Nagato has too many godly techniques.

Conclusion:
1. Nagato will win with high difficulty( He'll probably be forced to use CT).
2. Itachi has a small chance of winning if he puts Nagato under genjutsu and seals him off before he can break out of it.

Good post mate...... However since we havn't seen Nagato gettinh trapped in genjutsu we can't includ it that's what blood hound is saying. The sound jutsu is completely def.... It's like the arms and legs they are connected to the spin however if you damage the spin from the bottom you can't use your legs but still use your arm if that makes sense......
The bones and armour of sussuno is a good argument but it's still made of chakra so i dont know i think we should exclude that from the fight. However there is still the ability to control gravity and it was enogh to take on the 6 tailed naruto which is ver fast and very strong.
