Ummm, I'll have to disagree. He was Kakashi's Friend/Teammate and without him or the events that occurred Kakashi would've never gotten his Sharingan. If those events hadn't occurred Obito may have become a very powerful Uchiha and also he taught Kakashi to change his attitude when it comes to Teammates vs Orders. So I think Obito had a much more relevant role in the Naruto Storyline. Just saying....

Obito was a Chuunin. :|

He became a Chuunin two years after he became Genin.

But he was not widely known and I am sure most of the people who knew him are limited to a small few including Kakashi. So NO way Kabuto could know about him. Not even Orochimaru knew. So you can't use that excuse.

Everyone saying Obito was weak, but Kakashi owes most of his power to his eye, since an Uchiha is suppose to be more gifted with it, why would anyone assume he couldn't be as good or better than Kakashi if Kabuto boosted his strength. Also he didn't only summon ninja based on their "badassary", otherwise he wouldn't have gave any of them free will or speech he would have them out to strictly kill and not mind screw some ninjas like he had been doing, so unless he just couldn't find the body I see no reason why he couldn't have used him to fight. In my opinion anyway.

Based on Kakashi's maturity level he knows he need to seal Obito quickly. If Choji did got the guts to fight Asuma then why not a grown Kakashi?

He would only revive Obito at his prime..meaning...the Obito that had JUST awakened his Sharingan.
Obito sucked compared to other options Kabuto has.

True... compared to kages, jinchurikis, and other "legendary" ninja he wouldn't add up to much but if he wouldn't have died he would have became one of the best Also any ninja in my opinion would be better than the weak Zetsu tobi has running all over.

well, the zetsu are better than the fodder, I mean, that disguise ability they were using was owning until naruto jumped in.
