Orochimaru vs Jiraiya

This would be one hell of a fight. Even with IWR, i think jiraiya would still win. Jiraiya is very versital in his jutsu, he has shown knowledge in sealing jutsu and Minato and kushina most likely taught him some high quality sealing jutsu's.

No, there is no such thing as "the strongest Sannin"

They are based on the Japanese version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

If I'm not mistaken it goes like this:

You say that like it's some kind of definite. J-Man and Oro are on pretty much the same level. Neither would dominate the other. Thinking that is ridiculous. Both have arguments that can be made for them, and either one being called the winner would be an acceptable/possible outcome, IMO.

I knew some one would say exactly that. He may not have been trying to hurt Naruto, but he didn't half to almost let Naruto kill him ether. And Jiraiya was at full health when that occurred Orochimaru was not.

If Jiraiya was fighting back he wouldn't have been nearly killed. He didn't want to hurt Naruto, and still accomplished sealing the beast without even hurting him.

And I don't know the exact method he used. I know he said he unlocked the seal himself with a special key that had been given to him. I'm going to assume given his injuries he had to get close and personal to do it.

And I know Oro could handle the 4 tails, I don't doubt that in the slightest. I'm simply stating that Jiraiya easily could(if he wanted to fight back) as well.

Orochimaru was the strongest of the the three legendary three Sanin.....he is being tremendously underestimated. If the pervy sage was soooo much better, why was he not the first or even second consideration for Hokage....(please don't say because he left to become a hermit) because there is text that states out of the three pupils under Hiruzen, Oro was the most intelligent and most skilled. (I see nothing of the manga stating that Jiraiyah exceeds Orochimaru in any way....)

Not really. Cause you can look back at people like Kakashi who only took on 2, and had help, and had knowledge, but still lost. You can look at Naruto who had knowledge, and although he competed, he STILL lost(til 9 tails kicked in, obviously). It's a HUGE compliment saying someone could beat the 6 paths, knowledge or not.

Kakashi fought the two bodies that Jiraiya didn't really fight.

Jiraiya had info on three bodies and a bit on Asura path.

Also, Naruto didn't really have trouble with most of the bodies except for Deva Path which used Chibaku Tensei.

Yeah, he might have known about Bansho Tenin but he kinda freaked out about Fukasaku's death and just rushed into Pain without thinking like a moron.

So it's really not a compliment. You don't tell people what you are doing. That is the point of keeping things secret.

Complete BS seeing as Orochimaru did not care for Naruto's well being at all, whereas Naruto was like Jiraiya's grandson.

I think jiraiya but it will be very difficult. LOL - Orochimaru cant use edo tensei but jiraiya can use sage mode. Fanboy...
