SOPA and PIPA have been discarded.

But, the European and American government (together) is now planning for ACTA.

I don't have much information, not even the full form. (my cousin works in an IT company in Europe, so he told me)

But all i know is: it is not as strict as SOPA, and...

1. You will be jailed for 3 years if you upload an image with a name of 'ANY COMPANY' in it. The up-loader of the image, the owner of the company and the owner of the website on which you uploaded the image, will all be in jail, being accused of Free Advertising.

2. You are not allowed to 'Re-Post' an image. The up-loader and the owner of the website you upload the image on, will be accused of Piracy.

3. You will be charged for everything you do on the internet. All the free websites will be shut down.

The links for voting against the ACTA are not out yet. but most probably we will get the links by 1 February 2012.

Please spread the word and gather as many people as possible to vote against ACTA.

WE WON'T LET THEM TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOM!

This thread has been debated once... not more then a day ago.

Still Europeans said that nobody heard about it anything. And we know about 4-5 coutnries onyl which really signed it, the other countries dont even have it in their news.

(Either does mine)

And I don't believe if they can make it, as ppl allread yprotest... 750 000 ppl signed a petition in 3 days, and here ppl are kinda angry if their democratic rights are harmed (and ACTA had no voting)... I dont think it will less long.

O_O NO FREE INTERNET!?!?!?!?!?

No one government can do this; and if one government things they can, they have to be stopped, and will never be voted into office again!

It's because the film and music industries are putting pressure on the Govt. They're losing so much money due to piracy. I actually tried putting myself in their shoes and I have to say, I understand :/

But you're right, they are going to the extreme a bit. They're doing more damage than good, IMO.

The people that live in a mansion, can own a bugatti, but still be rich than 98% of world's population are protesting against us normal people?
