So I was wondering....how are all these Uchiha dead if the Sharingan users can use izanagi, I mean it cost an eye but they would still be alive, and you can get new eyes...

The Mangekyo Sharingan is a rarety and so much so it was thought to be a myth much like the Rinnegan.

Not ALL Uchiha, very little to none in fact, had the Mangekyo and therefore no access to the Izanagi Technique.

Danzo may not have had Mangekyo directly but all the matured Sharingan eye's he had possesed gave him enough of strength to nearly equal a Mangekyo.

I suppose that it was labeled a huge nono kinjutsu, but then how did Danzo's learn it?

You do not need MS.... What you need is a 3tomoe sharingan and Senju DNA wich no had in the village as Senju are pretty much gone.

None of the Sharingan eyes we've seen getting sacrificed were Ms eyes

and what you say about the joint sharingan power is ridiculous as they were scraificed one by one, he could stop it and reactivate it ...

Izanagi normally only last an instant, Danzo could use it for a minute because of Hashiramasmas DNA.

No Uchiha had the DNA of the first hokage. So they couldn't use Izanagi.

Actually, that's not true. You need nothing more than a Sharingan to use Izanagi, although you were probably right about the 3tomoe part.

The Senju DNA is only needed to use Izanagi to it's full potential. Since the jutsu is based off the Sage of the Six Path's creation jutsu, you need to possess the Sage's genes. Members of the Uchiha clan of course possess some of his genes, but so do the Senju. So if you mix a Sharingan with Senju DNA.. basically, you've got a ton of Sage genes right there. So boom. You can make full use of Izanagi.

Well the DNA Danzo aquired wasn't just for the Nine-Tails or Izanagi but rather controlling all those Sharingan altogether. The man was incredibly old and was not of Uchiha or Senju blood so his own willpower over them was little to non-existant.
