i think kakuzu would win because deidara would have to get 5 lethal blows. and kakuzu can harden himself to withstand big blows. yakuza's heart demons (or whatever they are) have very powerful and long ranged jutsus

Kakuzu would win this. He has to many large scale techs. Plus having lightning techs would give him a huge advantage. He can easily turn the battle in his favor b/c he could out number Deidara. The only problem he would have are the mini bombs. But Kakuzu could finish Deidara off before that

Yup C4. C3 would work. He could drop it down on the battlefield. Win. Kakuzu hardening skin wouldn't really do anything against a colossal explosion.

2) His beasts can fly so no problem for flying bird on which deidara stands

hmm.... I agree. Deidara would win this.
First off saying he's not fast enough to evade Kakuzu's techs, is mindless in it own considering Gaara's sand was barely able to keep up.
Kakuzu's hardening wouldnt matter much if he doesnt even see half of deidara's sneaky attacks.
C4 Karura would just end it, let alone his C2 Dragon, which I doubt Kakuzu would be able to be fast enough to get away from, or withstand the explosions.

I love Kakuzu but Deidara wins this by his flexibility in making bombs to fit the perfect situation, and how fast he can move when in flight.

Kakuzu = Mid Range
Deidara = Probably the best long range fighter in the series so far. (Pain and Madara and Biju dont count >_<)

Nope, because Individually, they're pretty weak. it's their sheer numbers that make them this powerful.

Bombs that destroy you on a cellular level are not weak, sorry to burst your bubble. Kakazu wouldn't even see bombs, as he has no sharingan. So how would he know what C4 does?

Harder to shield from = easier win for Deidara.
