Rinnegan or Sharingan, Ouch! My Eyes Hurt!

Why does Tobi need the Sharingan if he has the Rinnegan? Now I know that on his road to becoming the next SO6P, he needed Senju Hashirama's DNA and the Sharingan. However, he has the full Rinnegan (from Nagato), why the need for the latter doujutsu if the Rinnegan is the ultimate ocular power.

I believe his teleportation and intagability come from his right eye hence the swirling that happens when he teleports always comes from the eye with his sharingan in it. He also uses it to control tailed beasts.

Unlike Madara, he cannot use the Sharingan as well as the Rinnengan with the same eye, therefore needs one of each to make use of each of its powers.

Well the sharingan is used to copy the jutsus of the enemy but also I think he needs for tsukiyomi and rinnegan he needs to become the next SO6P I think

Because the Rinnegan is not the ultimate Dojutsu. If he hadn't his Sharingan, he obviously couldn't use his Jikukan Ninjutsu, which is an inherent part of his fighting style and one of his most powerful techniques after all. The same goes for ilussions and the Sharingan's analytic abilities. It's all about a healthy balance.

Most of all it's necessary for Mugen Tsukuyomi, basis of his moon's eye plan.

Are we all saying that the Rinnegan cannot accomplish this massive gentustu and if so why not. Is not the bearer of the Rinnegan able to do any jutsu possible?

imo he needs it cuz the rinnegan has different abilities the the sharingan where madara unlocked the rinnegan he has a 4 eye level and they all act at once i dont think tobi can use his rinnegan like a sharingan cuz he didnt unlock it jus a theory tho no one know for sure

As all mention correctly rinnegan has abilities and a sharingan has it's own and it differ from on to an other except the fact that it can control the beasts. Tobi controls the beasts with a normal sharingan...Madara doesn't really control kyubi but he had him as his pet that can summon...Tobi is no match with Madara
anyway...I think Sharingan is stronger than rinnigan but they complete each other nothing else
