Soon?
Unfortunately it already went down the drain...

As my dad says: I really don't know where this is going and how it will end...

Then again, just watch the news and all the uprising...

Yeah I know :/
It's the sad truth.
Yet we promote democracy else where when we can't even establish it truly here. U_U
I want to move to Canada :izuna: lol

huh? and for all you people saying i feel bad for you in the U.S, you should be worried too.. i mean, right now it is an isolated incident with america, but its very likely that other countries could follow the U.S and pass similar laws.. need too nip this in the bud

Its because we KEEP reelecting the same f*cking people and not intervening in their affairs to make sure things are getting done. It is our own fault. U_U

the government wants too pass legislation that allows them too shut down sites that allow people too download music and movies.. it also allows them too sue and shut down search engines, directories, social network sites, etc that have links too these sites or participate in the practice of pirated music and movies too.. the legislation itself is very broad tho, so there is tremendous potential for companies, corporations, an the government to abuse the law, they could shut down sites for shit they deem unacceptable.. so say if some dude was too post a song from a leaked album on facebook, the recording studio could put the individual in jail for a couple years, sue facebook for alot money, and even attempt too shut it down..

Wait, has anyone read actually read SOPA here? If not read 102-4-d, subjection 1, subsection 2.
Then also read 102-5-a, subjection 1. It's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. On a summarized statement it puts websites in responsibility of what they share and under liability if they do there best to not allow pirating then they can't be held accountable for what slipped into there sight.
