Orochimaru is Konoha's top genius and he knows his limits.
Also, Im am sure that Orochimaru knew the battle between kurama and Minato due to his almost limitless Intel he has.

Hiruzen knows his limits and knows he stands no chance against Madara and two hokages, so he took down the most dangerous foe, which was madara.

The reason why he didnt took down the first two caskets because he didnt know what Orochimaru was doing in the first place.

Orochimaru's knowledge is not limitless. Just because he's a genius doesn't mean he knows every secret ever kept in Konoha. He didn't have a perfected immortality, but dumb*** Hidan did. Even so why would you just think that Hiruzen would think the last coffin must be Madara? I think it's more plausible to think that since he raised the first 2 hokage he'd raise the 4th. Also Kabuto confirmed it. It isn't specified in the part one manga. The 3rd coffin didn't even work, but Hiruzen didn't seem too worked up about who it was, he just cared about how many enemies he'd have.

when orochimaru fought 3rd hokage(sarutobi) he sommoned the 1st&2nd hokage..was the 3rd 1 going to be madara? it got me thinking of this when kabuto/orouchimaru sommoned madara in front of tobi does that mean he's been having it? and the 3rd said he had 2 stop the 3rd at first i thought id be the 4th hokage back then but now i know it couldn't have been. 1 of the anbu asked who they where then a othere anbu said they where the founders of the leaf hmm 3rd one madara?

If you read the manga it is clearly explained.

It was Minato. Kabuto explains this to Tobi. Orochimaru wasn't aware of the limits of Edo Tensei. He tried to summon the 4th but it failed.

if hiruzen knew why did he he become all all nervous and quickly destroyed the casket?

I'm sure Hiruzen didn't learn everything there is to know about IWR. It was a very forbidden jutsu.

I mean he assumed that his puny little shuriken were the things that stopped it, how much knowledge does that show?

Anyway the manga confirmed it was Minato, but Oro didn't know he was sealed until Hiruzen told him.
