there were two clans of the younger son and they are distant relatives, they are the uzumaki and senju clans.They both are depowered version's of the younger son's powers don't you agree since both of them have good abilites in different fields.
Te senju were known to be good at almost every field of fighting and especially looks like there good at nature releases becuase just the 3 senju hokages alone have great abilties in nature release
in earth, and wood= for hashirama,tobirama= also great in water better tahn kisame if you relize tobirama ability to summon water from just molecules,tsunade=great medical ninja even so good that orochimaru that she can heal him from a death god effect.
Uzumaki to what is seen it looks like they have the body of the younger son being able to store tailed beast and also masssive chakra and long lives.
the senju seem to also have the body of the sage but in nature releases in techs and stuff.
This basically could have happened i think they relized that there clans powers are limited and that if they married to together they will have the full force of the younger sons powers.
I think the uchiha also marrry each other so that there power can still be dominate so they marry relatives get what im saying now.
So the person who was really responsible for the uzumaki destruction i think he did it because he knew about the uzumaki's getting strong from marrying each other and did not want them to increase in strength who ever this person was or village in that time i think they were releated to the elder son's roots and knew that the senju/uzumaki would get too strong, so his only option was to eradicate them by somehow disturbing their goverment.
I TRULY THINK THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH TOBI AND POSSIBLY ZETSU LIKE CREATURE WITHOUT HASHIRAMA CELLS BUT ANOTHER SENJU'S CELLS,he took characteristics of the uzumaki's and made them fight each other and cause this THAT IS ONE WAY, OR HE INFILLTRATED THE VILLAGE AND CAUSED their destruction another way main point is that a person from the elder son did it.
Either way who ever came for the uzumaki, i think the senju's came after them because i don't think the senju's would just let them be destroyed like that and od nothing they were good partners with konoha.
This is just a thought im not saying this is what really happened but could have happened.
