Bloody Squares.

Anyone know why my computer doesn't display Asian characters, instead my computer decides to change them into squares.

Like this if you don't know what I mean:

Computer, I was just using the squares on that as an example

I don't use explorer. I use google chrome. Anyway everything is displayed on the browser but the minute I download anything with a different language besides English they turn into squares. Things such as music and movies.

i said windows explorer not internet explorer but i already got my answer
try fallowing these steps a made you and see what happens, if that doesn't work you will have to re-install the system's fonts

2.on the left side of the window go to "Font settings"

3.untick the box that says hide fonts based o...

Ok did that. There is no error but it doesn't change my squares back into the original language T_T

I would if there was >_> I can only find language packs such as Thai and Arabic and the western languages. No Chinese or Korean etc.

Alright one of two problems. Either your OS or Chrome.

Lets try this first, easiest:

1. Open your start menu and type "Windows update". Press enter
2. Near the middle it should say "Important updates" and "Optional Updates"
3. Go into Optional updates.
4. If there are asian language packs in there that you don't have installed install them. Or install all like I did

If that doesn't work post here again and we can find solution. Also are you on 32 bit or 64 bit windows 7?

Also give me the link to the site, I want to see if my chrome has issues too.

jusr re-install window and tick "install files for asian language" while installing
it's easier for both of us >_>
