Some thoughts and questions

The jinchuuriki showing up with sharingans and rinnegans bothered me. Before too long even Akamaru and Gamabunta will have them.

The power ups for Naruto and Sasuke are ridiculous and are completely unbalancing everything. Naruto needs FTG and he's done. No combining the tailed beasts chakra, no new sage, nothing. He'll have shadow clones using FTG to hit people in the back with rasengan while another Naruto goes full 9 tails transformation and lays waste the landscape or goes sage mode and just beats somebody down. No mas.

Sasuke... I'm ok with where he is, probably because his latest ridiculous power up hasn't been revealed. I'm thinking naruto is way stronger, but that head to head its pretty even as sasuke can do away with help from Kurama, and Naruto can break genjutsu. That leaves sage mode Naruto vs Sasuke and I'm pretty comfortable with that being a good fight.

Kakashi and Gai should reveal some techniques that they've been holding back. I'd like to see Kakashi go back and find the white light chakra sabre, have it repaired, and use it.

Everyone has their favorites and they're not necessarily the main characters. The supporting cast deserves some attention and some boosts.

Tenten. Worthless character. Always misses. She's the stormtrooper of the narutoverse. I actually liked her in part 1. She can obviously summon weapons, why not expand on that to summon fully prepared, chakra-intense ninjutsu? To keep it stylistically consistent keep them metal based. And what did she do with the bashosen?

I liked Neji's abilities in part 1. I actually think the byakugan is better than the sharingan as a sensor. That all flew out the window once the sharingan started opening holes in space and setting things on black fire. The byakugan needs an upgrade, any ideas? Perhaps seeing a second or two into the future? Both he and Hinata just seem like they're very limited and I have no idea what would sound reasonable to improve them.

Shino... I actually like where he is. He scales well into fights with multiple opponents and with more powerful ones.

Kiba was one of my favorites. Underutilized as a good fighter and a tracker in a world of ninjas where both would be highly valued. He just doesn't seem to have much of a place or any way to make an impact in a full-on shinobi world war. He seems like a dead-end unless he starts turning into a giant werewolf or something.

Shikamaru needs a power up too. Let him teleport from shadow to shadow, and damage people by throwing kunai at their shadows. He was always my favorite supporting character.

Sakura should be scaled up a bit defensively.

Will there be a part three? Kakashi said that there were ninjas more powerful than him and younger than Naruto, so there should still be plenty that could put up a decent fight, plus there's all kinds of backstory and interesting characters that we only get glimpses of that could be filled in. Really there are at least 3 more obvious parts that could be done. Adult Naruto, young Minato, events leading up to the founding of Konoha and shortly thereafter.

Is the sound village defunct? I'd have liked to have seen one or two of them show up taken in by the leaf and become loyal leaf shinobi.

Is Kabuto going to slowly turn fully into Orochimaru? I doubt Itachi will make Kabuto release edo tensei. The resurrected Madara isn't going down like that. Considering that pretty much every other resurrection has been dealt with, wouldn't it be smarter for Itachi to help the Kages fight Madara?

Would Naruto even accept the title of Hokage if it was offered to him? Wasn't the reception he got after defeating Pain acknowledgement enough? He seems like he wouldn't sit at a desk all day when there are missions to be on.

I posted in another thread that I thought Jiraiya's novels contained hidden instructions on jutsu. Its been used for a code to send a message to Naruto, why hasn't this been expanded on? It seems an obvious thing to put in the story.

I suspected that Tobi was linked to the Uzumaki somehow because his mask was a swirl. But do we know of any other Uzumaki who were related to the Uchiha or had access to an Uchiha and a medical ninja? Probably a red herring.

What is being done with Shukaku? Is he going to find his way back to Gaara?

I assume we're being set up for another Itachi death. Too bad, I like the character and he hasn't been explored enough. I'd have liked to have seen him just turn into an immortal wanderer after the war and Sasuke were dealt with.

I agree that Naruto & Sasuke are leaving others behind and unbalancing the show atm. That being said, Kishi tends to put balance back into the show every now n then. Don't see how now though.

I Like that Gaara is so bada$$ but still think the Kage's are being over shadowed by Naruto & Sasuke and few others. They're the Kage's the Elite of Elite, they should be rockin a$$.

The others like Neji n Lee n Kiba should also get some 'good' upgrades. They been taking a really big backseat for far too long.

And again I agree, even though the edo Jin's have Sharingan & rinnegan it hasn't really been explored much in the fight. AND they need to stop with the whole Sharingan everywhere thing. It's really gonna piss off Sasuke hehe

I was also kind of thinking that with her exceptional chakra control, that Sakura might be an ideal candidate for a sage mode upgrade. Imagine how hard she'd hit... plus she'd be fast enough to actually land something. Maybe instead of teaching Konohamaru everything in his arsenal, maybe Naruto should throw a teammate a crumb here and there. But I have a question about that. Are the toads the only ones that teach it? If Sakura's summoning affinity were with slugs, would slugs have a version of it and would her eyes reflect that affinity rather than the toad one?

I was also thinking of if resurrected jinchuuriki drop and the juubi were to choose new hosts, who would they be? My listing:
Tanooki - Returns to Gaara
Cat - Hinata... she already has lion fists.
Turtle - Rock Lee. If Gai's any indication, Lee would have an affinity for turtles, and maybe a bit of that turtle durability would allow Lee to go 8th Gate and live.
Ape - Konohamaru. Gramps summoned monkeys and I think they'd get along.
5 tails - ? Anyone? What the hell is that thing?
Slug - If her teacher is any indication, Sakura would have an affinity for slugs.
Insect - First thought was Shino, but would he really benefit from it? He already supplies his bugs with all the chakra they need, and he doesn't really use ninjutsu. Still, the bijuu would probably be most at home with him.

For all of you Itachi fanboys... if the story behind the Uchiha massacre were made public, Itachi could return to Konoha and possibly eventually become its eternal hokage. Would Sasuke still want to attack a village led by his brother or would he come back as well? Would Naruto give up on his goal of becoming hokage if it meant he'd get his friend back?
