Tobi could be

Izuna Uchiha. Hear me out.
He has similar chakra to Madara, according to Onoki.
He's old enough so that the true Madara would know him.
That would explain his reason for helping Itachi killing his clan.(angry that the clan betrayed his brother post-mortem)
The twist, is that Tobi is an IWR of the 2nd Hokage's. That would explain how he's able to regrow limbs. His eyes don't have to look like Kabuto's IWR peoples eyes because when the 1st and 2nd Hokage were resurrected, their eyes were normal.

Well, why does he have only one eye with his special technique?

And regrowing the limbs is done in a different matter - while Tobi is similar to Zetsu, both Oro´s and Kabuto´s IWR are more paperfold-ish. (Manga: 120/15 for example).

I believe he could be anybody, including Izuna, but not with your arguments, sorry.

But if you´re right, so be it.

I don't think anyone cares who Tobi is anymore, he said it himself that he was no one. So lets just go with that!

Izuna was my first idea when they revealed Madara in the last coffin. But my current hypothosis is that Tobi was a Zetsu cloan of the real Madara made to pull the strings in the dark before Madara's death. He obviously knew he was dying, and brought up Nagato's Rinnegan as soon as he stepped out of the coffin; that's why he was so angry when he found out he was an Edo Tensei--he thought his origional plan to be brought back via outer path came to fruitrition, but it didn't. It wasn't until after Nagato's betrayel that Tobi presented himself to the world as Madara and proclaimed war. He had enough of being cautious and desided to take his master's plan into his own hands. He said he was a "shell of his former self," and that's exactly what a Zetsu cloan is.

Well, I apologize for not going through the "thousands" of similar posts. I should have actually sat down and thought, "What if this idea has been thought of before." I was so wrong not have done that lol.
And I could be wrong(I don't doubt that I am) but it's just an opinionated guess you guys. Calm down.

Tobi ... where to start , well first off there is a lot of theories about who he is , but i believe iv found proof on youtube:

, as you see i also believe it is kagami , and also ; tobi is a ****ing genius , was it all planned from narutos birth to take kushinas cells to get chakra chains , it is a similar method to danzo using wood style , because he has hashis cells , he also gave nagato the rinnegan , maybe to use nagato for a tool and take it back knowing that hed be defeated , on top of that he may have created the 6 paths ( so far as we know , madara nor so6p had the paths ... ) he ,maybe created it for the very purpose of using the bijuu to take in naruto and bee to complete his moons eye plan , if he is kagami he may be using sasuke to help him REVIVE THE UCHIHA , he had a crudge against all the elders , meaning he must hate them for ordering itachi to kill the clan , and also due to possibly being their rivals at childhood , he could simply be taking advantage of the whole narutoverse to bring back the uchiha , although its not likely ... see what you think
