Gaara & Shukaku-what if

So we are all well aware of Gaara's relationship with Shukaku and know that he chose to never use him in battle,instead opting to use his own strength.

BUT!!!!

What if Gaara had learnt to assume control over the Shukaku like Naruto did the Kyuubi?
Where would you rate Gaara amonst the shinobi(all)strength wise? And what would be your thoughts?

I think he would be a fking beast, the kid is already Kage level on his own. His greatest flaw would most likely be his lowered Chakra reserve since Shukaku left him. If he had mastered Shukaku, I believe that not only would he have a humongus Chakra pool but manipulating sand qould be easier for him.

That been said, Gaara appears to have in a way surpassed Shukaku by defeating his father whom defeated Shukaku but he was probably not at 100% as he was just being release.

Then again, Gaara mastering the Shukaku would be unlikely considering the latter slowly takes control over it's host

Well.. back then.. when he was still maniac killing machine killing people for fun and didn't care about anything/any1 he would be top 1 murderer in the series.. but in future.. when he came to hes right mind, he would be super strong nuff said.. !

The other reason I thought it would be cool is because Shukaku was a maniac. Imagine them talking. The reserved & cool Gaara with the Maniac that is Shukaku.

Almost fully agree. And you are correct Gaara did surpass Shukaku.
However, Gaara may have had a decrease in Chakra when he lost Shukaku but it would not have affected him at all. He never used any of Shukaku's strength. Not even the chakra. Having a Tailed beast doesn't give more chakra unless you tap into those reserves.

I didn't mean Gaara was the Maniac, I meant Shukaku. Shukaku is nuts and revels in causing insanity and killing.
Gaara was a victim of this and many other things. The only people Gaara intentionally killed initially, was those his father sent after him as assasins or people who attacked or he thought were attacking him. Then Shukaku killed them. It's only later that Gaara started to kill on his own. Even then though, it's Shukaku's influence that causes this.

Actually depending on the type of seal, the Biju's Chakra fuses with it's host naturally just like for Naruto.
For Bee we can't really say because Hachibi willingly gives his chakra and we have too few information about the others to know how the seals works so the only example we really have is Naruto but since we know that they don't use the same seals, they work in different ways

Also we can assume that since the beasts are trying to take over their host, they are naturally giving chakra to try to overshadow the hosts chakra's.

I am unaware of this. As far as I knew the only reason Kyuubi's chakra flowed into Naruto's was due to the seal breaking.

Thanks duder. That was kinda wicked.

My only issue is that the translations on NB or whatever are seldom the same as the actual books. But I appreciate the effort & info. +rep
