he also used the frogs for sealing as well so that adds a little more to the thought that he may, but again I think it took Jiraya years to do and I still say Minato may have died to young to complete it.

Yes Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if Kishimoto says that he knew sage mode. There probably just wasn't an appropriate time in battle to use it, since it takes a while to gather natural chakra.

Hey man what Ive been thinkin is that Sage Mode is part of what SO6P gave the younger son. No frogs No training No enemies( besides big bro). Just peace with nature and one's self. Plus Yondiame lived longer than naruto's current age. which means he had the time, maybe not the free time because they were at war majority of his life.
