Raikage vs Gai to the death
Raikage has both arms and is out for blood. Gai begins fight with six gates open and is willing to go all the way to eight gates to win. IMO this will not be cakewalk for Raikage and Gai has a good chance of winning, even though he might have to die do so.
Location: At the solid bone forest Kimimaro left behind
Restrictions: One on one. No weapons except makeshift pieces of this highly destructible environment. No
summons
Knowledge: They have no knowledge of one another
Gai's strengths: While Gai is not as physically strong or durable as Raikage, I don't see how Raikage, despite his claims, can be faster. Gai's punches break the sound barrier. We haven't seen anything like that from Raikage. If he's really the fastest, he should be able to do something similar. Gai is tactically brilliant. He's an expert in taijutsu. He has mid range and long range jutsu. All we've seen from the Raikage is taijutsu.
Raikage's strengths: Raikage is a human sized bijuu. His chakra pool is ridiculous. He's awesome at nintaijutsu. His raiton armor makes him incredibly hard to damage. His speed makes him incredibly hard to hit. He can use his raiton armor as a cutting weapon.
The way I see it, Gai has to win this bout quickly if he is to win at all. While six gates side effects didn't seem to hamper him, if he has to go seven, he simply doesn't have the stamina to hang with Raikage's chakra reserves. He's going to have to see if his morning peacock can damage Raikage's armor. If not he has to go seven gates and use afternoon tiger to take Raikage out. He has to set this up tactically with his taijutsu because he can't afford to miss. He has to take advantage of the environment. It is possible that Raikage is susceptible to the justu due to it being composed entirely of air. However, it is unknown at this time if elemental weakness extend to natural elements as opposed to chakra made elements. If that's not enough to beat Raikage, he'll have to go eight gates before his stamina wears out. I suspect his final jutsu will be called Midnight Dragon or something like that. The landscape will never look the same after these to go at it.
