All im tryna say is he needs to touch the paths to place a seal, he doesnt need any knowledge to do that. All he needs is contact with the paths
Key words right there…It would be extremely hard for Minato to tag anything since Pain has no blind spots with the 360-degree vision and it only takes one mistake to incapacitate Minato for good. Minato will be in defensive mode throughout the fight ‘cause he will be overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of opponents (with paths and summons), who are just waiting for the chance to rip his soul out. Also, it would illogical to claim that Minato wouldn’t go for the rasengan, which means that Pain gets to strike first- of course after absorbing the rasengan with Preta path.
I know Minato could summon the frogs to defend against the summons, right?
Well gamabunta begs to differ:

Every time Minato tries to put a tag on a path, he’s automatically running the risk of facing certain death by Soul-ripping,repulsion, missiles, summons (Cerberus is enough to give most people nightmares), etc…
FTG:
The match would get a lot more even if Minato can hold out for a couple of hours, which is doubtful-with no Intel, sage mode, or the luxury of having to fight Pain indoors- and even if he managed to do that the fight would still favor Pain.
Pain would naturally figure out FTG. Minato has to place a kunai to teleport where the kunai is, and even the “dull” raikage was able to figure this part out, which means that Pain can control Minato’s movement by repelling /attracting the kunais and with that anticipate where Minato will show up next (he could also simply destroy them).Minato’s ability to move freely will also be restricted by the fact that his kunais will be scattered all over the pace due to the missiles Asura

, and Minato will lose sight of where he placed most of them(the ones left), especially, when he’s defending against attacks from multiple angles-while also being aware of all the paths’ abilities. It’s an exhausting and daunting task which will eventually get to him.
